What Arnautovic needs most right now is to play. He's talented and shows flashes of brilliance but his attitude is terrible and it's not getting better with him not playing. If anything can set his act straight, it'll be the Premier League.
Chelsea to win the League btw. Mourinho needs to let Mata play though. He's too goddamn good to be left out.

Marca say #Arsenal had an agreement for Ozil on Saturday. The fee they mention, €45m + €5m add-ons.

jesus christ I always think Ozil is older than he is. I thought he was an aging player but he is the same age as Bale. He's also much more proven. 45 million euro is something of a bargain

I think it is a mistake by real if they let Özil go. Özil would be the perfect player for Bale and Ronaldo because he is one of the best in europe to make the game fast and play the deep, deadly ball.
I think an offensive line with Ronald - Isco - Bale is not very effective because their strength is the 1v1 with the ball. Özil on the other hand is able to be dedly with just his movement and one touch on the ball.

heh, why leave Ozil? If anything, I thought it would be Modric that would be leaving lol... guess I was way off.

Ozil doesnt press a lot though. he is one of the resons Germany concedes a lot

47 - Mesut Ozil has laid on 47 assists in La Liga since joining Real Madrid. No-one has more in that time (level with Messi). Creator.

Source: OPTA Twitter Özil is indeed a very talented player, but in nowadays football, I'm not sure if he can be a GREAT player. He obviously has the skills to give wonderful passes but he isn't that good at pressuring the ball and is very irregular. He was in the starting 11 in Madrid because there was no other choice, but now that there is Isco, it's not a surprise to see him warm the bench...

He actually probably fits in the Arsenal style of play better than the RM style.

Since when was it necessary to be a good pressuriser of the ball to be GREAT? Messi Ronaldo Ibrahimovic are all 100% focused on offense and they are the 'great' players around nowadays. With the exception of Iniesta/ Xavi, few attacking players are called 'great' because they are alert defensively and press well - I'll grant you that those abilities are always praised and appreciated but they are not the be all and end all. For attacking players, the bottom line is can you create goals.

I never really understood the heat of last-minute football bids. I mean, the players you buy are deprived of few weeks at your club, which is few weeks less of new training schedule, new tactics, blending with the team, getting to know the requirements of new league if they are shifting it etc. I wonder how much those obvious advantages influence players' prices (if they do at all).
