Didn't really break too much of a sweat, wasn't really breathing hard at any point, and I don't feel sore at all right now. I don't know if my body is adapting to more consistent exercise, but for right now I feel like I didn't get enough work done when I left the gym. Soreness isn't an indicator of progress or the amount of work done in the gym.

Yesterday I could bust out chin ups with 15 kg attached. But today I can barely do 5 with my own bodyweight. Lifting means being strong 3/4 days a week and being weak the rest of the week for me haha.

I can do pull ups with no issue (prone grips that is) and my arms feel nice and loose and comfortable, but when I do chin ups my elbows/shoulders feel a bit tight. Obviously I could just do more, but are there corrective stretches I could do?

Good luck with finals ![]() Thanks. Mainly, it's when my shoulders are extended and my arm is at its longest when I'm in the dead hang. It just doesn't really feel comfortable to me. If I'm doing a pull up though, I have no tension whatsoever and no discomfort. It's not really pain, but it just feels a little bit tight and definitely not comfortable. I guess I should also note that I can do like 12 or 13 near perfect form pull ups and that I can do other exercises like dips with no problem, just have a bit of a flexibility issue when my arms are completely extended.

My first thoughts are you can just work on the dead hang in that position. Just try holding it for consecutively longer sets as long as there isn't pain. Second, I can't recommend enough taking a lacrosse ball to whatever muscle/tissues feel tight and restricted and just working in to them. Tacking and flossing. Google mobilitywod shoulder lacrosse ball and I'm sure you'll find something that helps. I'm on day 2 of having a ball here at work and just working my hamstrings, gluts and even back throughout the day. It's really quite incredible how different my hamstrings feel and I can tell there's still tons of room for improvement.

I am having a problem with being very tired and sleeping more than 8 hours. I've been feeling this getting worse over time, and I don't have good energy levels especially during the day. I am getting pretty noticable bags under my eyes even sleeping 8-10 hours a night. I'm hoping rounding out my vitamin-mineral intake will help out. If not I'm going to have to visit a doctor, which is going to be a huge deal for me since I can't really afford insurance at this point :/

In unrelated news, I'm currently cutting, and as I went to the bathroom a few minutes ago I was calculating in my head how much weight I just lost. That's fucking weird.

I've also heard that multi-vitamins are basically useless for your health, and that they do next to nothing in terms of reducing risk for certain diseases. I'd recommend trying to get all the nutrients in your food if you can, since you'll absorb more of it and you'll probably fix that energy issue of yours as well. I'm thinking about taking a pro-biotic, but that's about it.
