![]() I'll never do Snake drafting ever again. It's so stale and obvious. With Auction some AMAZING things can happen at any point. Last year I was in a league with $250 budgets and one guy bid $222 between Chris Paul and Wade. Somehow he finished in the top 5 of 10 iirc. He had some amazing waiver wire picks to save himself.

I could've bid on Kemba for like $1 and gotten better production. You'd have had to realize that Kemba is awesome before the draft though. I'll bet someone scooped in in most leagues.

ETA: Look at the 2012 season numbers vs production so far. You'd think most of them were injured by the stark differences.

Lawson, Curry, Lebron, Kobe(!), even Blake Griffin are having weird production at the moment. Brandon Jennings isn't this good but it's a contract year so who knows. JR Smith and Jamal Crawford are playing way, way above their career numbers. ETA: Look at the 2012 season numbers vs production so far. You'd think most of them were injured by the stark differences. In many of those cases there is a legitimate reason. JR Smith basically hasn't given a shit about basketball prior to this season. Hell he said he spent most of last year partying and this year focusing. Granted he won't stay this hot forever. He's shooting 70+% from the 3pt line and that won't stick. But this will probably be the best year he's ever had. Crawford has stated that this is the first time he has ever actually spent time practicing his jumpshot. The signs of a monster season were there. Certainly not this good and he probably will normalize a bit. That FG% won't stay above 50% forever. But improvements on career numbers across the board is quite possible. Not sure why you don't think Brandon Jennings is this good. Sure the steals are an outlier and will definitely come down to ~2spg, but the rest of his stats are just about what you'd expect. He's trading some shots for asts so his scoring is down a bit. Aside from that the numbers are right were he was last year. He's also only 23 and you have to figure he still has room for improvement. Blake's been dealing with some minor nagging injuries. Supposedly he's going to play through them but I feel like some time off would help him out.

You can buy it if a big man start gets double doubles consistently or blocking lots of shots, but for guards to start off hot, it's as sure of a sign as any that a big slump is on the horizon. Added to the fact that both players are in or past their primes. Even if you're legit, teams will start playing you differently asap.

He's playing less minutes so far than last year but his assists are up +2.4! and his steals +1.5. I mean...that's insane for any player and he's doing so much of it in less time. Everything else is pretty much what you'd expect from him. I figure he'll get better but not in this way.
