Football is huge in the Northwest, there are a ton of youth and adult leagues and many followers of the EPL.

So as some people might know, former Newcastle manager Joe Kinnear has rejoined the club as "Director of Football" that amazing title handed out to people who work above the Manager of the team but below the Chairman/Board. They have no say on the starting 11 (normally) but they have final say on transfers and transfer targets to help build the squad.
HOWEVER, being how fucked up Newcastle is as a club, they have yet to confirm this news that Joe Kinnear has rejoined the club, why? There are reports from Sky Sports journalists that the reason for this is Alan Pardew is refusing to provide a statement of "welcoming" to the board so they can release it to the press etc.
Now this is going to turn into a right farcical, as it clearly sounds like Pardew doesn't want anyone to work above him, and even if he might he clearly doesn't want it to be Joe Kinnear (Who's record as manager is SHITE, and im sure 99.99% of Newcastle fans would choose Parder > Kinnear).
So, another shite storm concerning Newcastle United is about to go down, just thought id keep everyone informed ^_^
His record as Newcastle boss; 18 Games Played - 4 Wins - 8 Draws - 6 Defeats - 22.22% Win Ratio
JoeKinnear - Which one is Simon Bird [Daily Mirror's north-east football writer]?

I'm so happy for Tahiti. Scoring a goal was like winning the World Cup for them : D
Hannover 96 have signed Dortmund's talented, 19 year-old midfielder Leonardo Bittencourt to a four year contract. Nothing about the fee or wages, but it's rumored that Dortmund have a €6m buyback clause starting in 2015.
Australia just beat Iraq 1-0 to finish second in their WCQ group. Australia is going to Brazil!
Yikes, we almost choked but a win is a win. I'm really concerned about the ability of our squad heading into 2014 but most importantly we're going to be there.
South Korea just scraped through by one goal on goal difference. Sucks for Uzbekistan--they would have gone through if Korea beat or even drew with Iran at home. Unlucky.
edit: Japan, Australia, Iran and South Korea directly qualify from Asia. Uzbekistan has a playoff with Oman/Jordan and the winner plays #5 from South America for World Cup spot.

As is Australia. Uzbekistan was so close too. I would have liked them to qualify. They needed 1 more goal in their 5-1 victory to to take 2nd spot in their group but alas, they will still probably win the asian-playoff and then play whoever finishes 5th in South America...maybe Uruguay. Very close, but no cigar for Uzbekistan I guess. Giving up the game losing goal in the 93rd minute to Iran, own goal against South Korea...accumulation of close stuff like that costed them.
Korea Didn't deserve the World Cup, Uzbek did. 96th minute goal against Qatar, 97 goal against Lebanon, own goal for Uzbek....
But I'm so glad our manager is gone. Didn't want the job in the first place but the Kfa forced it upon him. We have so many good players but no manager to use them...

Is that the same guy that coached Chile in 2010 WC? If he is, I would love him to be SK's coach, as I liked Chile's attacking style quite a bit in 2010.
