I didn't see the Sidwell thing when it happened, but the replay looked like a deserved straight studs-first sending off.

McCleary scores, as Reading pull one back, and a glimmer of hope is found.

Looks like the bottom 3 in the premiership are going to get relegated. Seems fair though. QPR have been shocking for the money they have invested. Reading have been way to offensive and haven't learnt how to defend. Wigan, they play good football but have always been in the relegation zone throughout their times in premiership! Time for them to go down xD

Nolan might have killed Wigan's hopes with his 2-0 goal.

Also, just noticed that one of the linesmen is a woman. Has a woman ever taken the head ref responsibilities of a Prem game? I think it's happened at least once, but I might be fooling myself.

And Giroud sent off. D: Felt a bit harsh, but he invited the card, so it's not an outrageous decision. At least now Podolski should get some playing time.

He went in a bit late, two-footed, studs-up, right into Arteta's foot. A couple inches higher and that's a leg breaker.

Giroud's challenge was a bit of a grey area, but if Sidwell got a straight red for his challenge, Giroud deserves one too. And I'm a bit happy. He needs to sit out for a few games like Vermaelen and Szczesny and get his head right.

Hopefully Podolski is fit enough to start next week at CF, otherwise I guess we'll be seeing Walcott there with probably Ox or Gervinho at RW. Personally I think Messisacker should play at CF.

That said Arsenal better get their act together after that pitiful performance. They just pass the ball around while players stand there as if the goals are just going to happen for them, and when it looks like they are going to try to score, they try to be too fancy and fuck it up to give away possession. If they play like that next week they will get destroyed by United.

Wenger is wasting Cazorla on the wing. He should be playing in the CAM position where he's in the middle of offence. Take Ramsey off and have Podolski or Ox consistently on the left wing. Ramsey halts the play so bad and just lacks pace and creativity most of the time. If Wilshere's status is still unsure, then Rosicky should play in his stead. My two coins.

At least Mertesacker seems to finally be used to the PL now. Now he just needs to learn how to spot and mark players.

I never ever believed Cazorla was a conventional winger, I had so many Arsenal fans who had literally never seen him play when he signed calling him their "new winger." and no one would believe me when I said he'd affected more games playing through the middle.

ok but because thats where he showed up on team sheets, ok go play on the wing. You dont use Cazorla's skillset, hes literally designed to play in the middle of the park.

Well normally Cazorla and Rosicky will switch positions with each other, but it seemed to work a lot better with Gervinho playing at RW because his movement is a lot better than Walcott's. But yeah, I agree, Cazorla is MUCH better when he's in the middle of the park, they need to play him there more consistently.

Ramsey kinda terrible in the final third but without the ball and when pressing he's arguably Arsenal's best and hardest-working player. The only other options they have to play in Ramsey's place now are Wilshere, whose fitness is a concern, Rosicky (who has been integral in the attacking trio behind Giroud), and Francis Coquelin, but Wenger seems to hate him; he made a 5 minute cameo against West Brom after the red card, and before that his last appearance was the FA Cup loss to Blackburn (where he played right back).

I'd love to see Diaby play in Ramsey's place, but...
