yes, cl theme takes me back to somber autumn evenings in the late 90s / early 00s. walking to lerkendal (stadium of local team, rosenborg) en masse to watch our team duke it out against the best of the best, and sometimes walking away victorious.
the golden years of my football supporting life. instant goosebumps for me as well dudu.

anelka was just too fast, i don't know if i managed to watch all of that game. i might have turned it off in anguish. i was at the reverse fixture though, which ended more favourably. lyon also destroyed us away a couple of years later like 5-0. french teams seemed to be really good home sides at the time from my perspective.

Why does everyone like the CL theme? I find it INCREDIBLY annoying. Am I in a super minority here?
Yeah you are, everybody I know who follows football gets goosebumps from the theme :D.
I don't know. I just find the instrumentation/lyrics kind of cheesy and... "frilly", or just the wrong emotion. I also really, really don't like the voices that sing it.

Question about FA Cup Europa league spot. What happens when Chelsea wins FA cup (or Europa league too) while being fifth at Premier league standings? Does Milwall / Wigan get the spot or does it go to 6th placed PL team? I know if Chelsea is top4 then it goes to Milwall / Wigan for sure.
No they changed that ruling again TooMuchZerg. You only get EuopaLeague spot if you win the domestic cup now. So if Chelsea/Man City win the FA Cup and are already in a european place be it Champions League or Europa League, then it will open up another spot for the league.
Top 3 - Auto Seeded into Champions League RO32 4th place - 3rd Round Play Off for Champions League 5th place - Europa League
Capital One Cup Winners - Europa League FA Cup Winners - Europa League
So it will become 6th place for sure as i think Man City/Chelsea should win the FA Cup.

What if Chelsea wins Europa League thus getting Group stage spot.
1. Chelsea GS (=Groups Stage) 2. Wigan / Milwall GS (FA cup runner up or winner or does it matter?) 3. 5th PL (Playoff round) 4. Swansea 3rd round (LC winner)
Or does 2. and 3. switch places if Wigan / Milwall are runners up thus getting FA Cup runner up only getting playoff spot and not GS spot?
Mostly what is going to be order that teams start Europa league to play?
