Really good posts lasts couple of pages guys. Particularly liked phyre's 'if you're serious and gonna start something start it right now' post. So many people I talk to with regards to fitness/nutrition (or really any goals in life), yeah I might start next week/month/year/when I get a gym sub/ when I can be bothered... yeah whatever. Keep living your skim milk life buddy.

At least i don't feel as bad that you're crushing all my lifts since you've got ~35kg me and you're a few cm shorter lol. Phenomenal progress though for such heavy weights, keep pushin it Really wish i could max out my deadlift to see where i'm at but it will leave me sore for like a week ~~ On July 12 2012 09:02 Deadeight wrote: With that amount of exercise? As usual with smolov, I hate squatting. It takes 40 mins to train, 30 mins to be able to stand again properly and stretch, which is another 20-30 mins. Squat: 140kgx7x5 Symptoms: pain, knee pain, lower pack pain, dizziness. I'm kinda used to it now lol. New symptom was being close to throw up, lunch was too big (like 2 pounds of salmon :D). Also got massively drunk yesterday so it might have something to do with it. At least now that I'm done with exams I just slept fully. All of the above said, my leg size have exploded. I've gained 2kg already since last monday and my jeans are getting tight, at leg level (waist still feels lose). I really wanna hit the 82kg soon so I can cut a bit and get ripped. I'm also sick of eating, I hate chocolate now.

To celebrate my birthday, I decided I'd have some fun in the gym today. For whatever reason I decided birthday squats was gonna be a good idea. The goal was 1 squat per year I've been alive making a total of 22. Considering how bad my squat was before I injured my knee and how little I've been squatting for the past 4 weeks for rehab purposes, I have no clue why I was the one who suggested that I do it. Long story short, I made a set of 22 using 60kg, then had to do it again with 70kg, only made it to 13 reps before losing my hearing and giving up. (My max squat was 98kg roughly 2 months ago) Next year >=o....

If by that amount of exercise, you mean "assuming he lifts 3-5 times/week and doesn't do cardio or play sports, and has a desk job/desk hobbies" If I eat 3k, I start to drop weight. I'm 193 cm 83kg right now. Height counts for a lot, and bf% counts for a lot more - if he's 30% bf, he can get away with maintaining on only 2800 cals. If he's 10%, he needs at least 3500 to maintain. There are a LOT of variables here, and all meant was that it's definitely possible to be that big, and eat that much.

Well, he is training sinc e 1.4 years and his lifts go up constantly. I simply refuse to believe that a 3000kcal diet could provide enough fuel to make his lifts go up. But of course this is no scientific observation, just based on my own observation with calorie intake. What do you mean? Do you mean that I should eat more or less? :D I am just eating "enough" not too much to say it simple 4-6 meals each day are enough btw Btw, strongman ! :D I don't say any of that. What I believe is that what you are eating right now adds up closer to 4000-4500 calories than 3000-3500, and that you just guessed wrong. But in spirit of Phyre's post, how often do you train, and do you do any conditioning/ cardio work besides lifting (I mean strongman does need some conditioning)?

Phenomenal progress though for such heavy weights, keep pushin it Really wish i could max out my deadlift to see where i'm at but it will leave me sore for like a week ~~ haha :D yes i will try to reach 250kg, 100kg overhead press, 220-240kg squat, 140-150kg benchpress. I don't say any of that. What I believe is that what you are eating right now adds up closer to 4000-4500 calories than 3000-3500, and that you just guessed wrong. At the moment I am workingout everyday from monday to sunday. I dont have any other sports as football etc, just training weights for 1-2 hours a day. Sometimes I do take "cardio" taking a walk for 1hour sometimes. And I cycle once in a while. ![]() Bought me 2 of those <3 :D ![]() Just had to show you guys ![]()
