Are there any good replacements for post/pre work out protein shakes?

Race to 8-8-8 chinups?. I'm currently at 4-3-3, although a fair bit lighter than you at 75kgs.

today i made 8-8-8 and did a set of 5 reps +5kg weighted chins! looks like i won the race MUAHAHAH, unless you updated somewhere else that you made it

Ah crap I'm officially a loser. Well done. With exams and a bit of travel my trainings been a bit all over the place lately. I've just been doing chins once per week and then working similiar muscle groups the other two days. I'm gonna test my self tomorrow morning. I'll probably be able to do around 6 per set.

So I spend the weekend camping with my friends, in less than 10°C and it rained the whole time.

Got into a tussle with a friend and I think I've sprained my right AC ligament.

Hopefully some nsaids and rest will make it go away in a couple of days...

Well mofo's, I'M BACK!

Went to the kenny chesney concert here in Ohio, then went to Pittsburg to see him, zac brown band, and billy currington. And it was fucking awesome. concerts here suck compared to well, everywhere else.

Now, time to go do some shit!

I still have 2kg's left, but if want to buy more protein powder, what stuff should I look for? Like %protein? Specific brands would be fine too, I guess. And how awesome//beneficial is creatine?

Finished the workout. Went very well. I thought i was warmed up good when I started the sets, but I guess i wasn't. Felt a little heavy until the 4th set. then I just banged them out from there This upcoming week is the last week of this cycle. after this I test a new max. gonna go for about 330. if i hit that ill go up by 5 until I miss. Then 2 week recovery cycle. Then the real shit begins haha

To be honest with whey you can pretty much go with almost anything and its fine. OPT is a good brand but they are a bit more expensive than others.

Creatine helps get out extra rep or two at the end of sets which lets you add more weight and progress faster = more mass and strength

Including milk (lite because it's not good to have fats for post workout) for post work workout?
My PT recommended it but i heard alot of crap about PT in this thread.

Milk is generally superior to most PWO supplements/drinks. If you want you can add whey to milk (although milk already has whey and casein in it).

Pretty much all of the websites i've seen agree that saturated fat, (and monounsaturated fat to some extent) is favorable to polyunsaturated fat.
Can someone explain to me, simply, why saturated fats are better?
