You can make some pretty good dressing with things like lemon juice, herbs, olive oil, vinegars etc. Many recipes on Google to choose from.

After showing my mom all the pubmed articles, talking about my weightgain, healthy weight blah blah blah, she said I can get whole milk if I pay for the difference between whole and skim. Only like a buck a day. Time for the real weight gain >.>

Those exact ingredients make an excellent Italian salad dressing actually! Salad dressing is typically pretty easy to make ... it's just a measure and mix procedure. While you'd be hard pressed to find a paleo-friendly caesar salad dressing recipe, anything you make would be leagues better than anything you'd find pre-made in the supermarket. Plus, it's not all that time consuming and generally stores well. I just wish there were a healthy way to make condiments like ketchup and BBQ sauce that tasted good though . ^ That it is. I know some guys whose mothers would straight-up reject the research and say "All that fat is bad for you!"

Age:20 || Height: 188 || Weight: 90kg Starting Date: 23/05/11 || Goal Date: 1/07/11 Weight goals -- 80kg Training goals -- 40km running/wk AND being active for a least an hour a day Nutrition goals -- Atkins diet Misc goals -- Being able to do a sub-40 10k again. -- Posting here with questions/experiences in this thread once a day. Despite having eaten no candy or drinken no soda for 4 weeks straight, I've yet to see results regarding my weight. I'm attempting an Atkins diet now, as I've heard and seen some pretty miraculous results from people following that diet. Also the exam period is coming up, making it pretty easy for me to follow such a diet. Supposedly it isn't that healthy for longer periods of time, but I'd imagine that keeping it for 5½ weeks shouldn't be too hard: at some point, if I'm able to run enough, I'm gonna have to go back to pasta. PLAN FOR THE DAY Breakfast: 3-egg omelette with ½ cucumber and 1 red pepper Lunch: Chicken salad (non-marinated chicken, iceberg salad, 2 small tomatoes etc.) at school cantina Snack: Cucumber sticks in a mayo-dressing. Dinner: Fried frish with something. EXERCISE: 24km biking to pick up new soccer cleats 2hours of soccer practice. Advice is welcome as well as dietary tips. Does Atkins really work?

I'd recommend paleo diet over atkins posting in this thread once a day is a pretty awesome goal! also, for someone of your height/weight i'd really recommend strength training (it helps with fat loss as well!). but if you are going the cardio route, maybe 40km per week is a bit excessive if you also play soccer etc. PS: did 5x170kg deadlift today. nice.

The last year I've been gaining some weight and a bit of a belly, which I'm planning on losing. I like swimming but haven't been swimming all that much in the last year (the reason I was gaining weight). So now I started swimming again more and swim now around 2 or 3 times a week for about 40 minutes, swimming 2 kilometers. My question is, where should I go from here to lose more weight? I'd much rather have a training goal I'd like to accomplish rather than a weight goal, but am not sure what goal is best. Should I try to do the same distance quicker? Should I try to go a larger distance with the same speed? Should I swim more days in the week with the same speed/distance? any advice is appreciated

When I ran a 10K every morning the nr1 thing that kept me motivated was beating my time. I don't know how competitive you are, but whatever makes you motivated is what you should do. Weight goal is a definite no-no though.
