Yeah it really is unfortunate, the quality is terrible. I wouldn`t really recommend buying this app. OP, maybe you should host the videos on a server that you own so we can watch them in full quality.

You sir, are a fool. It uses the same database that sc2casts.com has, and almost all videos are available in HD, it depends on your connection.

On Wi-Fi, you'll get HD, on 3G, you'll get something lower. That's Apple's decision, not mine. Get your facts straight before hating on a good and cheap effort.

don't call me a fool just for reviewing an application with an honest opinion.. you can go fuck yourself since the only time anybody will have a wi-fi connection and wants to watch an SC2 video is pretty much at home.. unless you go to starbucks coffee shops by yourself and sit in the cafe to watch starcraft videos, you're going to be using a 3G connection... fair enough, apple made it that way, doesn't excuse the fact that its a compilation of YOUTUBE videos... at least create something like VEVO.. VEVO is actually free and its high quality videos are over 3G, thats the point I was trying to get across

EDIT: and honestly, if you aren't willing to take criticism for something you developed, i don't know what to say... good luck in customer service... i'm not buying anything made by you again for that kind of attitude toward a paying customer...

As has been answered a few times before - yes. I'm trying to find a developer who can do it. A few people have stepped up, but noone could deliver. But there'll be a version for Android for sure. And soon I hope.

Yes, but since you are part of the TL community which typically prides itself on striving to be slightly more civil than the rest of the interweb, the least you can do is attempt to leave polite constructive criticism. It's only a couple bucks, and even if you are disappointed, it's your own damn fault for buying the product.

The product wasn't misrepresented and you had a whole thread full of reviews you could have read through, plus the actual reviews on the app store itself, many of which brought up the exact points you are complaining about. You have every right as an American consumer to be a dick and complain about shit, of course, but you would be doing yourself and TeamLiquid a favor by being a bit more reasonable about it.

e: btw OP, I purchased the app last night, and I definitely enjoy it. Having a neat and tidy place to collect all the biggest and most important SC2 youtube vids without having to search and wade through all sorts of other videos is definitely an added value worth more than $2-3 bucks to me.

However, I will say that the continued success of the app is entirely dependent on you maintaining it on a regular basis and continually updating the vids. If you can do this as well as you have been going forward, my money will have been very well spent indeed.

Love this app so far. It does work on the iPad, and while the area is larger, it does not fill the entire iPad screen. Still nice to have on both devices. Thank you for your efforts on this.

Suggestion - add matchup in the browse section, allowing players to browse through the 6 different race matchups.

I'm having to scroll through to see the PvP matches... It'd be handy if I could filter.

Dude...that has nothing to do with the app....

When you are on 3g the Iphone limits youtube\video quality, if you connect via wifi the video quality improves drastically. Jailbreak your iphone like a man\grownup and get the 3gunrestrictor app. I honestly can't understand why anyone who's under the age of 35 has a non jailbroken Iphone....

And iPad version is already submitted and waiting for Apple's approval.

Unfortunately, I couldn't do it as a universal app, as there is a bug (a bit hard to explain it, but currently it's visible when using the iphone version on the ipad) which would've been still there if I made it as a universal app. The bug is in the development/compiling platform, and reaches all 3.2.x devices (not all iPads will be updated to 4.2 any time soon).

So there, an iPad version will be available soon. Within a week hopefully.

Hey man,

I just recently stumbled upon sc2casts.com itself, thanks to the Ret vs qxc KotH match, and I must say I love the site. The ability to filter by event, players, casters and matchup is awesome, and the frequent updates give some attention to matches that would otherwise go unnoticed.

I didn't find a dedicated sc2casts thread, so I thought I'd show my appreciation here, and I'm eagerly awaiting the Andoid version of this app.
