flowerpower daisysocks is supposed to be the boring straight character acted by a boring prettyboy to interest the womens as a romantic interest, you're not supposed to think he's interesting, he's the echoing board for captains jack's hilarity. music is supposed to take a backseat obviously so what I get is that you didn't like the action or the dialogue which were both fantastic but you like random terrible anime humour like in full metal alchemist? wat | ||

the first one you linked anyway it meets the criteria anyway, it's there for a reason, we get to know more about the characters through the fight (although part of it is through a dialogue so heavy-handed you couldn't jack off with it, though I think that's a characteristic of comedies and it's KINDA funny; again, not my favourite kind of humour) and the choreography isn't that embarrassing honestly, it's about as good as you can expect from a western movie. Actually the main thing that I disliked about that fight scene is just how BROWN it is. If the colours were a bit more varied it'd be easier to look at, but it makes sense given the setting and I don't consider it a major problem. | ||

(I'm peeking at the manga for comparison and amusingly enough, it has far less of that humour and it usually doesn't drag on; however, it spams gore and characters that are pointlessly sadistic or obsessed with killing for the sake of it.) I'm actually not that difficult, although I could easily find remarks if I wanted, it's just that (back to the PotC scene) for a part it's not my kind of humour, same as Scip, and for the other the choregraphy and stuff didn't entice me well enough that I would ignore the jokes. In the second link I put, the choregraphy is already way less forced/clownesque, and I like that type of banter better, so it all goes smoothly. Note that I never said PotC was trash or something. I said that I didn't remember the actress from the movie, adding that I didn't remember that much from the movie itself because I didn't find it that remarkable on the whole, despite having its fair share of good moments. Now if I need to devote a cult to it to have taste, then I'm afraid I'm lacking.  | ||
