Pretty much. But I wouldn't take 3 coop vs AI games as a good sample in any case.

I had 8-9 days left from not taking much since last August at the end of May. Had to use them before 30th June or lost without compensation. Then late July I used 10 days to host people cutting over a third of what I'm going to earn for the year. I just needed my days to expire one month later. ;_;

Are these numbers Euros throwing out include holidays? (I recognize the term may be confusing but something like most American workers get July 4th, Labor Day, etc. off)
|
Public holidays? We tend to call our days off "holidays" and our public holidays "non-worked days" (roughly).
It doesn't include them, I get something like 20 days off from June to June, then 4 days a year (January to December) I can ask myself, and 4 days the company can make me use, if they don't use them by the end of the year we're free to place them though. The company uses them for stuff like "Tuesday's not worked, our clients won't work Monday, we know a bunch of you will take Monday off so to ease our administrative stuff everyone has to take Monday off" (with some projects having a guy not take Monday on a voluntary basis in case something breaks at the client's).

More commonly I get 1 payed day off + extra pay per day for working holidays.

fuck north american slave labour! I only go up to 15 days a year after 5 years. but my company is particularly bad even around here.

I guess the thing is that I've played over 1000 coop AI LoL games (those first wins add up) and very very few of them involved people quitting out of frustration. Connection problems, sure, but ragequits are rare. So running into people quitting a mere AI game 2 games in a row for obvious ragequit reasons was kind of startling and made me wonder if that signaled an even greater problem in general than what LoL has.

I get 5 company mandated holidays, 5 personal choice holidays, and 15 days of vacation.
|
15 vacation days/year (+ 10 sick days), 5 of which have to be used consecutively for a "lockout" period. I know I have some rollover from last year, not sure what I have left though.
|
I get 20 vacation days, 6(random as fuck number) sick days, some amount of PTO I don't track because I get paid extra to not use it, then standard holidays(9 I think).

+ Show Spoiler +https://www.reddit.com/r/smashbros/comments/3glyf7/mangoscar_commentary_highlights_super_smash_con/ctzaxax + Show Spoiler + Something inspired me to write an essay this morning, so that's what I am going to do. Maybe it's worth reading and maybe it isn't. I want to talk about content creation. We are blessed in this community with a host of interesting characters. Players, commentators, streamers... I mean, you watched the Documentary, and if you're in this comment thread you've probably watched my videos, so you probably don't need much convincing of that. And we are blessed with a beautiful game. Maybe even multiple beautiful games, though I have to take other people's word for it. Best of all, those interesting people are exposed to us. I mean, we don't have to figure out why they're interesting via 140 character snippets on Twitter. They're on the mic, getting interviewed without much regard to how they look. They're at the Foundry. They're commentating locals and regionals. Increasingly, they're on their own Twitch channels. They are themselves. Other esports scenes don't benefit from those things as much. First, there's a heavy filter obscuring who players truly are, and second, I don't want to see the unfiltered version of people in the Starcraft or MOBA scenes anyway. The recent Starcraft drama reminded me of that (if you don't know what I'm referring to, don't ask). The point I want to make is that there's so much content out there. There's so much interesting stuff! All you have to do is reach out and take it. You don't have to be like Samox and work a literal miracle to find cool stuff in the SSBM scene and share it with other people. Just pirate Sony Vegas, google "download Twitch VOD," and boom. Spend a few hours learning how to create content. If you're having trouble, ask someone else for help. Ask me! If you don't do it, no one else will do it. Mew2king once won a doubles tournament with a Level 9 Luigi for a partner. Don't you wish you could watch those VODs? Too bad, they never got uploaded to Youtube and they weren't highlighted on Twitch, so they're gone forever. All we have is this gif from right after Mew2king won. Halfway through the final game of a 3-0 in the finals, Mew2king's opponents unplugged their controllers and walked away. It was hilarious! A lot of people saw that tournament, and no one took the time to share that footage with others. Even just ripping the VODs from Twitch and posting them to Youtube would have been valuable for archival purposes. I hate that most people are purely consumers. Are people scared of wasting their time? Just make a goal for yourself like I once did: if even one person enjoys what I made, I've succeeded. When I made my first highlight video, Reddit didn't really exist. There wasn't any guarantee that people would watch what I made. I didn't know anything about making videos, but I did it anyway. Over the years, the video got a lot of views. But I was satisfied the first time someone watched the video and posted "Thanks for sharing!" Right now, I'm making a video of every Hungrybox rest. Like, all of them. Is anyone going to watch it? I don't know! But there's probably some Puff main out there who will find it useful. I am making the video for that one guy. There's so much stuff I want to do. I want to make more videos. I want to do BD anime releases. I want to write a huge article about the history of SC:BW and SC2. I want to do something showing why 2v2 is so amazing. I want to create so many things. If I don't make them, no one else will. I don't have time (or, really, the ability) to do all of them. So if no one else is creating content, a lot of the things I want to exist will never exist. Augh! Am I really all alone here? Does no one else want to create? Can't I win the lottery so I can drop out of school and do random things full-time? I am a law student. I cannot make content forever. There is room for other people to make content after I go into hiding, or even while I am still active. And not just 10-second gfycats. EE deserves a highlight video, for example. People keep asking for it. Maybe you can be the one to make it.

I'm 24/7/365, so I don't get holidays just days that i get triple time on. I also get 5 days of floating holiday I can use whenever and then earn time off the more I work. I have 432 hours of "comp" time I can use or sell back to the company. Selling those comp hours is 100% taxable though so notbsuper worth.
I'll just take a 6 week vacation and get paid for it instead. Even if I'll probably be Stoll working the on call during that time.

Ahh, European vacation days.
One of the many reasons nobody should ever vote for a Republican.

Rocket league patch comes out today that will allow cross platform for private matches. Didn't know it was going to be this patch, but it's pretty hype even if it's not a real fix for the main issue.
