I've been depressed about all the games I played lately. Hearthstone got super expensive, Blizzard is gumming up BW without adding anything to the competitive scene, and League of Legends is (a) getting too slick and (b) changing the bird dude that I got for free from Riot support into a generic evil dude. I should move on from some of these games but I'm getting older and more nostalgic, dangit. | ||

I was kind of hoping Overwatch would be the next WoWLoL for me, but as awesome as it was it didn’t have long-lasting appeal for me. So I’m still waiting for the next big thing. | ||

I don't think there will ever be a next big thing for me ever again. It's strange because a while ago that would have bothered me but now I just see it as reality and a fact of life. Games in general just don't interest me the way that they used to and its strange to think I've 'matured' in any way beyond gaming considering how much of a teenager I still feel like sometimes. (I should say *video games because my mtg obsession is still growing. Ive found myself slowly building two modern decks despite me assuring myself a year or two ago I'd never be interested) | ||

-40k got a new edition around August last year and more or less rewrote the entire ruleset from top down. -Age of Sigmar is the Butterfly that rose from the old, desiccated cocoon of Warhammer Fantasy and is still in a state of change, metas shift every couple months even without releases. -Warhammer Underworlds (aka Shadespire) is basically 3 months old and is designed from the ground up to be a competitive game on the level of MtG or equivalent, which it's pulling off with aplomb. The first 3 Grand Clashes have been and gone and they're building up to a 100+ person tournament at Adepticon. | ||

Worst part is apparently I have to sit and wait for it to heal over 3-6 weeks. I really hope it doesn't take that long. I also didn't feel it until I laid down in bed... | ||

Finally found the light have you. Time to linear out some folks. Just remember modern is a zero-sum game. You got to make sure you have all the fun in the game or your opponent will try steal some of the fun. | ||
