It's strange because a while ago that would have bothered me but now I just see it as reality and a fact of life. Games in general just don't interest me the way that they used to and its strange to think I've 'matured' in any way beyond gaming considering how much of a teenager I still feel like sometimes. (I should say *video games because my mtg obsession is still growing. Ive found myself slowly building two modern decks despite me assuring myself a year or two ago I'd never be interested) I think matured is generally the wrong word. Sometimes our tastes just change, or we find something we like better. I wouldn't say I've "matured" beyond reading books, even though I read far fewer than I used to.

I understand the sentiment of giving them something to share, and also enabling the whole "evening party together" social dimension rather than having someone showing up apart from his girlfriend or having her waiting to the side, but c'mon. Can't pull all these people down the rabbit hole at once, they've got families! What with the new job thing, now the only thing preventing me from playing Pyre is new laptop. So... soon. If by then I don't discover that new job means no time for it.

I know I'd get too easily sucked in without the "30+ minutes away" part if people expressed interest too because I find it fulfilling to teach people, and get rewarded when they look like they're having fun. ![]()

I really hope it doesn't take that long. I also didn't feel it until I laid down in bed... I thought I'd bruised a rib last week, spent three days in fear of coughing and taking 2 minutes to get in or out of bed. Then it went away really quickly over day 4 and 5. Figured I must have just pulled an abdominal or something + slightly bruised ribs (since they still hurt slightly) and they combined into hell. Sucks though, hopefully you have a similar lucky recovery :<

You got to make sure you have all the fun in the game or your opponent will try steal some of the fun. LOL plz. First of all, deck A is saffronolive's abzan rites. Not draw go control. (I'm building towards eldrazi + taxes which fits your description a little better but still) Second, if you think I prefer this to limited which is and always will be the superior format, you're dead wrong.

So though it sucks you could be out playing sooner then with a knee or ankle injury. I took some painkillers and went to bed super early last night. It seems to have helped a lot. I've regained some range of motion and I would say the pain is about a third of what it was. Also they cancelled the game tonight, so I'll have more time to heal. It seems like the exterior part of the bruiser healed pretty quickly, so it only really hurts if I twist my torso close to its maximum range. Or if I breath really deeply or cough. So a minor inconvenience during low intensity activities. If it got this much better in one day, then I expect I should be back to normal in 4-5 days tops. Which I'm really glad about, because yesterday every breath felt like someone was punching me in the chest. I can't even imagine how much breaking one would hurt.

Then you just mill anything that may be used to get them past your lock while making sure you only draw stuff you want to.

Couldn't flush it out because it'd damage the eardrum but damn having something in permanent contact with it gives you some of these headaches... can't move your jaw some ways (for eating or talking), avoid tremors or shocks to the face, some sounds get much worse too... the worst part was when my actual heartbeats were felt. It wasn't as painful but it wasn't ever stopping either, obviously. It's just something you get accustomed to or you just can't sleep. Had to take several days to fragilise/melt the residue with medicine until the eardrum wouldn't risk being damage when removing the plug. But that's because half the threats single-handedly kill me if I don't, and then there are the ones they can bring back from the graveyard without me being able to counter them. (Last saturday a very grindy opponent was pretty dumbfounded after game 1 ended with me at 2 life and 7-8 cards left in my deck, and we'd used a good 30-something minutes of the clock. Was still a fun and close game tho. + Show Spoiler + Early Supreme Will for a land made me put Scarab God and Torrential Gearhulk at the bottom of the deck, then Search for Azcanta put the other God and another Gearhulk at the bottom too. By the time the game ended I'd seen the God 3 more times through Glimmer bottoming everything not-win condition, without shuffling effects. At some point I figured I should have started tracking my deck's ordering to avoid activating Azcanta at wrong times since I'd went through the whole of it. Luckily for me he never drew one of his Liliana because against some kind of Mardu eternalize brew everything is a slooooog. I think I spent 15 or so turns at 2 life and used but 1 of my deck's removals.
