Gwent introduced a big patch with a whole bunch of RNG cards as well as their version of discover. Game is giving me exact same kind of frustration that HS did when I left. Why do companies find the need to completely change their games, alienate their fanbase in order to grab some mythical other fanbase? Fuck these guys. They had something awesome now it's just a fucking nightmare. What do people find so fun about rolling a bigger dice number than the opponent to win? Taking all agency away form them and just leaving it to fate.

If they're already doing it with VGA splitters, wouldn't it be much simpler to just optimise the current system? Just get better splitters or signal boosters or something rather than trying to reinvent the wheel. Would probably still have some degradation compared to digital, but it might be manageable. In theory wireless could be doable very easily, but I assume you want to avoid having to be responsible as the on hand tech guy every time there's the smallest problem with a computer not syncing or a signal glitching or anything. Also are you sure you're allowed to broadcast evidence over generic wireless protocols like miracast or w/e? I assume there can be a fair amount of confidential stuff in there but have no idea exactly how data protection protection laws/policies work around stuff like that.

Each vga degrades the picture by like 50% lol. 20 screens just makes it shit tier. Also they specifically want it wireless. This one specific court that wants wireless is broadcast to YouTube and it's a public enquiry so don't presume it should be a problem. Also we already use a wireless local network to broadcast transcripts in real time using some program so don't think security is an issue.

For some reason people keep focusing on the "untapped market" and taking the current user base for granted.

As far as CCG RNG fiestas go I'm convinced that, given how many CCGs have gone in this direction, there must be some kind of data that say that RNG fiestas do increase profits. It's still stupid but it's hardly the stupidest stupidity that the industry has proffered.

For many players the volatility introduced by RNG makes for a greater proportion of exciting turns, and a greater proportion of exciting matches. For other players it's incredibly infuriating for player agency to get chipped away (playing outs only goes so far to assuage RNG issues). Presumably the former players outnumber the latter, or at least spend more money.

It's brilliant. | ||

You can get powered splitters which automatically boost the signal, allegedly give basically no degredation going down to two screens. Dunno how badly it would propogate though.
