I haven't really seen Toshley in any decks other than Mech decks or those ever-popular Spart Part Antonidas decks. Dr. Boom is better than Toshley in basically every scenario, yeah. Depending on just how badly you're hurting though I'd recommend both if able. I didn't notice it was golden though, so Toshley -> Boom is a good straight-up trade if you don't care for golden cards. I don't remember him being that scary on board. 5 attack isn't much of a step down from 6 these days (ie not many 6hp minions in play). It's basically a better Boulderfist Ogre. It's generic big body ofc, but in the scenario where it's an available legendary it defs has it's place in basically any budget deck that'd normally run bouderfist ogre.

Granted, the bombs still trades favorably, but it's a 4 mana tempo loss.

If I didn't own Boom/Sylvannis it wouldn't even be a question.

Granted, the bombs still trades favorably, but it's a 4 mana tempo loss. Doesn't Boom dying to BGH mean your other 7+ threats are not safer? It never feels like a huge lose to lose boom to BGH unless he can clear bots before playing BGH on an empty board. Feel that's kind of the strength of Boom in that even the unfavorable trades aren't that bad. Toshley is super legit I feel. It's just that most decks don't really have the slots to use him in. The 6 mana slot is getting very close to the issues 7+ mana slots have in that they often take up your whole turn so if you putting one in it has to have some kind of bonus effect. That's why you only really see Slyv/Emp/Shieldmadien/Highmane these days with an odd Sky golem in pally. I think if the meta slowed down you'd see more Toshley.

If you are planning on running several threats over 7 attack, Boom is a great card. If you aren't running 7 attack+ threats, it becomes much less desirable, since you're very likely to lose it against a common mid/control tech card (and boom is not a good card against aggro). Sure the outcome isn't bad, but compared to say a Loatheb which won't die to bgh and has a very strong, consistent effect (which can shut down some decks if played correctly), or tech cards like Harrison, a deck without 7+ attack creatures should gloss over Boom. Basic opportunity cost. Toshley is 1) random 2) only really benefits flamewaker mage, which is generally more aggressive and doesn't have room, really, for Toshley

Basically Toshley is too slow and too easily removed for his impact.

Go to AskReddit and find some popular questions that aren't completely stupid. You can use these to spark conversation with your date if you don't have anything to say.

Maybe you should ask questions that interest you about a person rather than: Other than sex and urination, what do you use your genitals for? What sounds like it's really nice but isn't? What movie created within 2000-2015 will be considered a classic in the future?

I picked "You have $10 to buy groceries to make dinner for you and a date, what do you get?", and we discussed what was feasible and tasty, then made plans to do just that when we moved in together. I think it went reasonably well, bruv.

I mean, I think Ender's Game is still a gem of science fiction writing and coming of age stories, but in the future will young people still read it? My sister is a teacher and she said she already has high school kids who haven't read or watched Harry Potter and think it's out of style, while people from our generation (or older!) consider it nearly essential reading. It's just interesting to think about, and probably decent date discussion material.
