+ Show Spoiler + The story made absolutely no sense to me, felt like it had a lot more holes than the usual blockbuster movie. Especially the first scene and the logic surrounding the defensive shield seemed ridiculous to me. The fight scenes were well done, plus I had a reason to care about most characters, so that was good. I'd give it a 7/10. | ||

I haven't seen Rogue One (and don't plan to) but Force Awakens was the worst offender of this in recent years. | ||

I thought Rogue One was okay. Still safe, but definitely different enough from a lot of the other films going around right now to stand out. Better than the Hobbit, which is what I'd compare it to as a prequel to a major series. | ||
