In one of my runs I hit a ysera as pally. I aldor'd then had to put my whole board in to kill it. Barely won that game as the warlock couldn't clear my board and had no taunt to stop lethal at that point. You either 2,3 for 1 yourself or have a decent answer like assassinate, poly, execute for their high quality card. If you don't have an answer and you don't have the board you will probably lose and probably would have regardless. Arena is fun >  I tried making a mini's deck for constructed but it's such a neutered version without half the cards lol. | ||

I would much rather just log in to MODO and do Cube Drafts or Theros drafts than arena, constructed wise I would much rather play HS than deal with the bullshit ticket system. | ||

I had 7 dmg on the board + the 3 dmg pally spell, after which he ofcourse pulled ysera awakens and clears the whole board, throws out rag and I'm just crying. | ||

I went through some stats with a friend, who keeps track of his arena decks for every run, and we noticed that, at least for him, while number of epics/legendaries don't matter that much, there's a strong correlation between performance and # of rares. Drafts with 9+ rares (yes, those happen) pretty much never did worse than 10-3, while 3-4 rare drafts usually ended like 3-3 or 4-3. Which makes sense given that while legendaries close out games, having multiples of things like Azure Drake, Imp Master, or Defender of Argus would do way more to actually win games. I still have no idea why rarity in Arena isn't normalized to something like 23 commons + 6 rares + 1 epic/legendary. Having variable rates of rares doesn't seem to improve the format in any way. | ||

The only combo card I was offered was Cold Blood. No Defias, no Eviscerate, no SI: 7, I didn't even get any good quality neutrals above 3-4 mana. I aint even mad, shit's kinda hilarious. It's been fun to draft with friends recently.  | ||
