I know I joked about it earlier but I am now convinced that every jew everywhere travels to south Florida around christmas.
Most annoying few hours of my life spent in a flea market with my wife and parents listening and seeing jews everywhere, and they're all the stereotypical jersey accent ones, except for the ones I recognize who also traveled south from my hometown. It's so ridiculous
I can't even explain why it bothers me so much---like if I were seeing a bunch of others jews in a religious setting or somewhere...I dunno...in context? It wouldn't bother me and/or I'd embrace it but it really irks me for some reason here.
Does that happen to anyone else? My hometown was basically all indians, chinese, and jews....in jersey. For some reason only the sterotypical bad ones go to South Florida for vacation. Now you understand what I had to grow up around whenever we went out anywhere though lol. Is your hometown around the new brusnwick area by chance? They have a pretty large Indian population. I think you can safely call that area Little India. I'm from Paramus. We literally had a full page and a half in our yearbook of just "Patel." And another full page of just "Lee/Li." Had a page of Kim's and then everyone else was like, Jewish or Italian. Very few of anything else lol. Around here in my area now though it's like all Irishmen and old retired people from NY/NJ too (thus mostly Italians). So my printer broke literally a week ago, and apparently my dad went out and got me a brand new printer for christmas, completely surprising me as it was with our neighbors gifts and had no name on it. I had no idea it was even for me to begin with. o.O
aww, pretty sure new brunswick has you guys beat out in the Indian population then. It's also where the larger Rutgers college campus is.

Nothing like a good mid-Christmas day nap.

I'm a sucker for a good OST. FTL is so hard, I've tried countless times. Only made it to the final ship twice and yet to beat it, even on easy ;_;
keep trying. i can give you some basic tips if you tell me your basic pattern of exploration/upgrades and your basic fight strategy. FTL's a fair game. if you apply what you learn every time you lose, you'll eventually win (and then win more). i like the recognition of steady improvement

I never understood the aspect of people who try and buy specific gift cards, just keep it basic. Like Staples, Future Shop, Best Buy, Starbucks, (Insert random restaurant that is popular in your area), grocery store gift card (everyone has to buy food).
Maybe it is the inner I don't like christmas side of me but if you do get someone a gift just make sure it is 100 percent usable asap for them.

It shows you actually put some thought into the gift by getting one that you know they will use and need. It can include a popular place to go, but it should be somewhere you know they will and want to go for sure. Like getting a grocery store gift card for your dad when you still live with him basically is you using part of his gift, since he's using that card to buy food for not only himself but you too. It's why I tend to skirt away from restaurant gift cards unless I know I won't be part of it (Like I got my sis and brother-in-law an outback gift card b/c they don't live with us and they go there often). I want them to enjoy it themselves, and not to use up part of it.
