So combo breaker this weekend. Pre registration numbers just popped up: SG is 6th highest ahead of KoF and MVC3. I wonder if there will actually be a huge resurgence in activity with 2nd encore. Edit: wow ahead of melee too. Except SSB4 is in 4th place or something so I dunno what's up there

At this point, you can probably buy the Dark Angels DV expansion and other boxes you were thinking about getting anyway, I would just not put on any weapons or optional upgrades. Bikes and Terminators won't change fundamentally, but you might end up wanting different weapons in the next Codex compared to the current one. No one will complain that you're using half built models so long as you tell them why and explain what each one has when you start a game. If your Bikers and Termies are armless for a while, it'll be fine. On the plus side, new Codex generally means higher power level and/or improving bad units, so that's good =P

Some of the matchups seem really fun from the games I've seen. It's just a few retarded characters ruining everything T.T

I have no semblance of how popular SG actually is, I just want to watch good people play it.

No it does seem that way, I agree. I mean I guess we'll see what the tourney itself looks like. Won't have much time to watch until Sunday probably

No shit that SG is smaller than games below it. It just pulled a lot of attendance at this event doesn't really mean that its a bad thing. Also Divekick got like 50 people. We esports now.

Also just still bitter at Nintendo for everything they've done to keep PM down :/

The ideal for me is for Melee to be the only game but of course Nintendo needs to sell SSB4 :| I kind of agree. I really enjoy PM, but it is Nintendo's IP that they have just allowed to exist. I like the general variety of PM, but Melee will forever be my Smash home.

I feel the need to point out that it's mostly a combination of Combo Breaker seemingly not having many attendants in mainstream games (SF4, MKX, Marvel, Melee) and at the same time being a spiritual successor to the tournament that historically was the major for more niche games (especially SG).
