Context: I just moved to a totally different part of Seattle that im unfamiliar with (particularly the Metro system there).
So I left school today having more or less no idea how to get home and even then, I had no real way to get into my house, but today was one of those "wing-it" days so I just hopped on the 12 and sailed dramatically into downtown.

I picked the first bus that said it was going to Burien, rode that bus for about an hour, and watched as the bus went up to the bus stop right next to where im living. And then continue to drive away because it was the wrong bus. And then it looped back and started leaving burien.

Fortunately I saw the bus number on the bus stop near my house, so I found a nearby location for the bus to come, and hopped on when it arrived. Itt had only been an hour and a half since I got downtown, so it was about 5:00 PM. All of the sudden we pull up to the stop I want. And we then keep going since I forgot to ring the bus bell. Then we pass two more stops as the busdriver ignores my frantic ringing each time we approach a stop. Eventually he relents and I get off clear out of Burien, and I have no choice but to walk my way back.

My backpack is really heavy and its really hot outside so life just generally not on a hot streak at the moment, when I suddenly, while looking at my feet, run my head straight into a tree branch and fall down. So that sucked. II get real salty about it and throw my phone on the ground, where it proceeds to break into 3 pieces. This happens from time to time, and they're easy to put back together. However this time the pieces careen off into a ditch that I hadn't seen and get lost amongst the tall grass and weeds. The grass is super thick too; I couldn't just walk through it, I had to wade through it. So I had to search around that for awhile, and multiple slugs accidentally got squished on my hands. After finding 2/3 pieces I suddenly needed to go to the bathroom URGENTLY. However, im out on the fringe of burien; its all crappy houses lined in a row. Additionally, my hands are covered with icky slug goo and nowhere to wipe them.

So im not going to share how I solved that problem because maybe its not a good idea to talk about it but long story short I was standing In a creek at the bottom of the ditch with half a cell phone in my hand and an empty bladder talking to an old man. And my hands were no longer covered in slug goo.

Eventually I found the final part of my phone and walked all the way back to my apartment area. it was about 6:00, and I still had no key, so I walked up to the front desk of the apartment in order to acquire one.

The woman at the front desk was in a long conversation with a potential business client or something like that. I signalled to her that I needed to talk to her, but I looked like a dirty sweaty vagrant covered in creekwater, so she wasn't too enthusiastic or hasty about assisting me. So eventually, at about 6:30, I got my key and entered my house.

ONLY 3 HOURS AND 30 MINUTES YAY
