Rating of the ST series: + Show Spoiler + TOS: It's TOS; I never liked it all that much, tbh since it was so formulaic and trope-laden, but hey TNG: The one that resurrected the franchise; outside of the early episodes that were clearly written for TOS (and readapted for TNG), the series is the gold standard; just ignore Wesley Crusher DS9: The Other contender for gold standard ST series: I prefer TNG because it was muh first, but DS9 is definitely up there VOY: Had a brilliant premise, failed to live up to its promise. Wasn't horrendous, though very inconsistent in episode quality, excepting that Janeway is unfit to actually lead a starship, and the crew is staffed by incompetents ENT: The one that killed any possibility of a renewed Star Trek TV series for at least a decade. Personally, I thought it wasn't too bad...mostly | ||
