It was just a convenience factor at the time for him and once it happened he switched to bringing gatorade to supplement. He's worked outside all his life and never had a problem before this. It was just the literal amount of work he did was just so out of the ordinary it was just too much. Like he would sometimes work up to 14 hours, come home to cook dinner, then work on our house for 3-4 hours. Rinse and repeat for a couple months.

There is a reason Gatorade was invented in a state where you can track the settlement and population growth by the invention and accessibility of Air Conditioning. Calling these things "natural selection" as you still hear about the occasional story about a player fainting on a training field or worse and you think that's just some twisted form of Darwinism? Don't be a jerk Soniv. While I do agree with Darwinism, I do think that sometimes that people make honest mistakes or that sometimes they just don't know any better. Wouldn't necessarily go ahead and say that Darwinism is doing justice in those cases, but I'd sooner say that "life just happens".

Your body is pretty good at retaining electrolytes if you need them. Drinking more water isn't going to cause you to piss out a ton more stuff, your piss is just going to be more dilute. Like, in general because of how important electrolytes are to muscle/nervous function, your body is really efficient at retaining necessary amounts. It takes some prolonged dietary/behavioral imbalance or some other disorder to become as serious a problem as these cases that have been mentioned.

Check out the hormone vasopressin, pretty cool thing. Ofcourse when doing physically intense things or living in areas where you lose alot of liquid, drinking more than 1,5 liters is obviously normal.

There's a lot of misinformation out there in the world and unfortunately we are at a time where people are educated enough to find this misinformation but not educated enough to see it for what it is. I don't think it's right to say the people are always at fault for making a mistake, everyone makes mistakes at the end of the day it's just what kind of safeguards are in place to catch you when that happens. Need to up our style/standard/level of education to match the freedom of information we now have

It's standard to drink 1,5 liters/day and that isn't even really needed, since your body just changes your hormonal balance accordingly and concentrates your urine more, simple as that. You could go as low as half a liter per day, but even I wouldn't recommend that. Check out the hormone vasopressin, pretty cool thing. I mean, the "normal" rule is 8x8 (8 ounces/1 cup 8 times a day), which is about 2 liters. But most men are somewhat heavier or more active than the "average person" so their recommended intake is a little higher, more like in the range of like 9-13 cups depending on your level of activity. 1.5/day is definitely less than standard. So my plan was to have everyone pick a class (trying not to have more of 2 of each class), then pick race/equipment/name/appearance and post it and then everyone post the answer to: "How did you first meet Erik the Masque, and why did you choose to follow him" and then everyone pick their bonds in thread. though i suppose if i wanted things to go smoothly it was on me to actually explain in detail. I'll go update the OP now with better details so we can get started on that. i was trying to allow more time for signups, but i guess 9 is more than good enough to start the process.

And then I got the answer and felt extremely stupid that I didn't immediately factor that equation in my head. Hooray for fourth year university math students! -_-
