I'm talking design as in the code design. Bouncing blade is capped at 80 damage in order to not have infinite loops. That's a pretty cheap fix that doesn't really solve the core issue with the card. The card SHOULD have killed that creature but because of this quick fix it doesn't. A simple solution I think would be to check if there's only 1 vulnerable minion on the board and if that check goes though it means that minion gets destroyed(Ala stampeding kodo). That would fix infinite loops on too high HP a target. There would also have to be a check for invulnerable(Commanding shout) built in. Another issue with the video is already known where there's no cap on hp/damage before an integer overflow occurs. So the minion actually landed up unable to attack.
I'm confused. Yes, this is a poor (and hilarious) design/coding mistake, but this is nowhere near the level of sinister shit that EA pulls. Again, I'm not saying Blizzard is top tier, and I'm not a huge fanboy, but they have quality IPs and not the worst customer practices.

The vid doesn't have anything to do with the rest lol. I just posted it because it's funny.
Not being the absolute worst doesn't really say much. They still a lot worst of a company since their rapid expansion. Much the same way Riot is worse and Activision went from being boon to a curse. Man I still remember when Activision has a huge number of unique IPs. Even Valve has gotten pretty shitty in the last few years. Nothing seems to stop companies from going south as they grow it.

Gotcha. But it's still not really indicative of poor game design ("HS is so poorly designed"), it's just poor coding for a fringe case - I've never even seen that hydra card played.
You want bad program design? Come spend a day with me struggling with BusinessObjects. I swear, they didn't even fucking consider UAT for this version. WHO REMOVES THE ABILITY TO SHIFT+CLICK THINGS?!

EA's not as bad as they used to be. Was reading an interview with one of the ex-Maxis devs, and while they still exploit the shit out of franchises and don't compromise with devs on anything, at least it's a reasonable working environment compared to the bad rap it got in the early '00s for having awful hours, ridiculous unpaid overtime, shitty benefits, etc.

If only THQ didn't completely screw up. You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. Batman quotes are never not applicable!

I spin for you like your favorite record used to~
Man this is good shit

I just realised that there is hard to find a place like a pub or something, where you can sit with your laptop, have a good Wi-Fi connection and do some work in my city :\ I need something like this for Friday.

I want to find a brew-pub with wifi i can work on my writing at sooo bad.

My brain did a mental Freudian slip. My subconscious disturbs me.

Was just revisiting the D2 Necromancer page to look at them summons. Fuck that was some cool shit. I miss Necromancer.
Edit: I also hope they eventually bring in a D3 expansion with a transform-y class like Druid. I never got to play as much of that as I wanted in D2.

So uhh, Would anyone be interested in a Dungeon World campaign thingy, where you don't have to show up every week, its just a group of 3-5 that can make it go out on like semi-one shot adventures. everyone who has a character would be part of like a guild together, and go out and explore together in groups each week or two weeks or whatever? the game is super easy to pick up and i can provide a Character sheet that literally will let you play the game from it, telling you everything you can do and stuff.
It'd be minimal commitment, as session by session we'd just figure out when we can get the most people and go, no need to go out of your way or clear extra time on your schedule, if you can't make a session it doesn't matter.
yango? moonbear? you guys interested?

I want to say yes but I'm afraid I'd NEVER show for a session.

I've never played dungeon world but your complete lack of need for commitment has me convinced to try it!

About the Touhou album linked, why not put the Subterranean Animism one instead? It's gorgeous (SA's OST is gorgeous, sure it's all .wav-ey in the game but the melodies and inspirations are top-notch, and the arranges in the album have a good sense of progression from one track to the other). Then again IN's OST is really good to but its album and EoSD's one are pretty meh I found. That one's coming on too strong I feel too (Letty's theme has a neat energetic melody that lends itself to a bunch of potential directions for adaptation, but it doesn't deliver on its crescendo there). Listened to them all to soothe some coding anguish at work a few months ago.
Edit: yup it's way too fast, that doesn't fit PCB's overall theme at all (I mean, it's about a neverending winter extending into May and the morbid longings of deceased spirits). Plus they gut Till When? by removing most of its depth (when ironically it's one of the rare themes that'd lend itself well to being sped up), such a crime.

If you make a character but can never fit the game into your schedule your character would probably default to the steward of the guild in fiction. It'd be no big deal, he'd just be hanging out in the guild house taking care of things there. but absolutely could go out and explore with the group weeks down the line if you manage to find time. 0 risk. you wouldn't even be taking someone else's spot so no guilt either.

That's what makes me most apprehensive about Overwatch. I'm sure they'll get all the superficial game design aspects right, but at a core level, I simply can't expect Blizzard to get everything right the first time through when they've never made a competitive FPS before. When you say competitive fps, are you talking about it in regards to esports? Or are you talking about in comparison to other fps's?

"Competitive" was probably not the right word choice.

EDIT: lmao
Know-It-All
When another player’s character comes to you for advice and you tell them what you think is best, they get +1 forward when following your advice and you mark experience if they do. This makes me want to make the character that takes this, but is a total dick about giving advice so nobody ever actually wants to go to him for advice, lol.
