in fact i read an article written by some white woman going to japan who was saying that she felt super lonely and loveless because no japanese guys would talk to her. She was like "okay i know for a fact im good looking and even went I dressed up slutty and walked by construction sites or in public transport nobody said anything to me same thing in bars and clubs"
she was kinda confused when her japanese girlfriends telling her that japanese guys are really shy even for non foreign girls lol

but equally one of the comments was like" oh yeah its great in japan im unharassed i can do whatever i want"

then again you have the train pervs LOL

I'm pretty introverted so I don't normally randomly talk to people so being half drunk at a club is one of the easier ways to be outgoing for me :D Oh as a tip do pre-drinks. Never go straight to a club fully sober. That'll just burn through all your money
