But awhile about I did come across this video, which, while focused mostly on designing a map for Dominions 4, still might give you useful ideas about how to use layers and draw readable map features. Remember, layers are your bestest, mostest awesome friend. Use them to try things out, use one to separate an element that you want to try moving around, and use them to, well, layer effects like rivers/clouds and such. If stuff like layers, masks, and transparencies are kinda scary for you then I'd recommend a more basic photoshop/gimp tutorial to learn about how great they are and how to use them for awesome. | ||
