I can't remember the saber dude, but the six-fingered man was an amazing bad guy. Doesn't actually want to fight and runs away, and when Inigo finally catches up with him he plays dirty and throws a dagger into his gut. With all the excellent build up in the movie it just became such a dramatic moment.

I didn't even really dislike the second season, then again I have an understanding that the show wasn't really intended for a 2nd season but it happened so I suppose that clouds my judgement a tad. Tolkien gets it thou. Varruk's 5 minute recap of the show as a new Nuk Tuk movie exemplified perfectly for me why S2 was so weird.

Hes stuck in a prison at the top of a mountain, what else is he going to do with his time. Neither of those things are good excuses. He should be similar in airbending level to the other airbending students, he shouldn't be even a contest in a fight with Tenzin. At least, that's how I see it. I would have accepted him winning an airbending battle with like, Tenzins brother.

Th e Montoya fight is amazing dude, because you know he's way better than Rugen but he throws the knife and it's like "oh man what a fucking jerk". But then "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya". I love the end of that whole fight sequence, it's just so satisfying to watch him fight Rugen into the corner and make him beg. God that moveie is so fucking gogod I'm glad my waifu wanted to make that our weedding. I'll be her man in black anyday, As You Wish baby

I still maintain that regular beer breaks during the work day would greatly improve employee satisfaction.

I would have accepted him winning an airbending battle with like, Tenzins brother. So should Toph be able to win against a whole slew of Earthbenders when they've been Earth bending for their entire lives while Toph was a 12-year old girl? No, of course you didn't question that. Or the GAang plowing through the entire security force of the Imperial Palace. Bending is an organic extension of martial art styles, and is as much about mentality as it is about experience (the latter was clearly shown in the Tenzin vs. Zaheer fight; Zaheer was clearly a more inexperienced airbender in his movements and motions). Korra struggled for a long time with airbending and was so terrible at it because she couldn't think like an airbender. Even before he was locked up, Zaheer spent his entire life dedicated to the philosophy of the Air Sage Laghima, and had fundamentally embraced Air Nomad and mentality (minus the pacifism). This, necessarily, made it much easier for Zaheer to grow into his newfound powers and, eventually, fly (after his last "earthly tether" was cut, so to speak) compared to all the other students who never studied airbending etc. before. And he's obviously had training or some skill in non-bender martial arts before his imprisonment, given the Red Lotus probably fought some battles before their imprisonment. I don't see it as surprising at all. Again, plenty of people new to formal bending can be talented and attain skill in it in a short time. Look at Katara (became a Master level waterbender within a year), or young Toph, etc. etc. etc.
