Being busy and overwhelmed with shit is not enjoyable. Do what's good for you, who gives a shit if other people are killing themselves with classes. There's also a thing in Chinese culture (colloquially referred to as 山寨--Hels, you've probably heard this term before) where people try super hard to imitate the success of others. As others have said, just figure out what works for yourself and take things at your own pace.

I dunno, from my limited understanding of DotA he incites more or less the same thing as Clockwerk to me: dude that gets to build beefy, with decent early game damage, and whose role it is to go in and to cause mayhem in the enemy team. Of course, Clockwerk is manlier than him, and even the dunks can't make up for it, but still. And Nemesis draft is awful, because the goal is to give your team the worst champions possible, and it's not satisfying to have to play Taric nor to give him to play to someone else, even an opponent. That just feels like being a dick. Every single game I had was individually awful (although the 2 stomps in our favor (one of which I started dicking around because one opponent was dc'd and we lost) were because it was custom with people in our group, I prob would have just finished the game in 20 games without remorse were it against pubs), but it was for different reasons than the core concept of the mode. It's basically a prisoner's dilemna: if you give them a fun comp and they do, yay. If one does and the other gives a "worst" comp then you get fucked. So everyone tries to give the "worst" champs to their opponents, and the mode is about who is willing to be a dick to others. That's just... not too inspiring.

I also hate Kunkka vs Axe lanes, my god, is that terrible for the Kunkka. Give me a draft, and we'll run it next time, maybe, Yangers. I say maybe because I don't know who will be in the stack and what they can somewhat play, considering the skill range is from sub-1.9k-4k. I tuned into this game just as you came back from being afk I believe. It was really funny. One second you guys were trying hard and losing, and then gave up. Five minutes later, you guys were relaxed to the inevitable loss, and started winning fights due to enemy team overextending. Like back to back fights. It was amazing. I was curious why you didn't get a blink on your kunkka since they liked to blink initiate, and you could just blink out of their ults/taunts onto their sniper or something. Is that a reasonable purchase for kunkka when playing from behind? Or one of your supports should have bought a force staff to baby sit you when they engaged. I didn't see the end, but I assume you lost. Your team didn't seem to be able to win a full 5v5 team fight if you died. Basically as long as the enemy team killed you, the rest of the team couldn't do anything against the Axe/Void while Sniper shot people from half a screen away. ![]() On February 14 2015 11:38 Nos- wrote: You guys ever feel like you need life to just slow down because man I really want to drop one of my 5 courses and just take it easier, but I feel bad cause it seems all of my friends are gunning for like 5-6 courses and I'm kind of pussying out Yea dude, do what you want to do. I don't understand the need to try to speed your way through college/university. Take things at a pace you can handle because overworking yourself is not worth it.

People have been calling him, troll, and jugg "spin to win" heroes recently lol. The hate is pretty new though Anyway axe got nerfed a bit in 6.83c, although honestly I'd guess he'll still be the bane of pubs for a while lol

Everything worked out. I just needed to enjoy my time there. You know inside if you can sink or swim, and since your mind tells you that you're a fucking baller (deep down you know it's true) take it at whatever pace you choose to. Enjoy life.

I felt like I needed the extra damage/cleave from Bfury/Daed. I actually ended up dying in a lot of fights near the end just because of Chronosphere, that ability is really fucking stupid lategame, it's annoying. Blink would have been really good actually just like you said since it would have allowed me to maybe blink out/away from chrono. We did end up losing, but we threw it, we actually had a 15k gold lead around the 50minute mark, we just couldn't end the game due to either Spectre or myself being dead/them having buybacks. I also had a really stupid dieback... On February 14 2015 12:46 eieio wrote: Axe has been FOTM for pubstomps + in competitive recently. Even though there's a looooooot of shit to get done, burning your employees out is a really terrible long term strategy.

MoM jugg is the dumbest fucking thing in the world oh god does that make me rage I mean obviously I buy mom on jugg but jesus christ that shit is dumb as for the more serious discussion in this thread, burnout is a real thing and it sucks and constantly trying to keep up with others is a great way to be miserable for years I actually left a job pretty recently because I was working crazy hours + was on call for a week every month which meant getting paged in the middle of the night to fix shit. Not fun.

I'll end up doing the same this year, since from around March 15th or whenever we start again, we'll be working in Central PA and the Poconos, on 3 jobs, that all run concurrently, with 4 guys, counting the manager. It's going to be fun. Oh, and only 3 people in the entire company of ~50-70 employees are qualifed to do one of the jobs, a manager, myself, and an operator. So guess who's making a ~2 hour drive every day and then putting in 8-10 hours on site, this fucking guy.
