So long as both you and your opponent understand that due to a specific set of legal actions that can be taken based on the current game state you can arrive at a predictable set of results, you can ascribe a shortcut to the entire chain of actions. (This is specifically allowed for under 716 of the Comprehensive Rules)
While I can't comment on how Cixah plays irl, based on the rules at least at any point Cixah is allowed to invoke the shortcut for mana generation for any arbitrarily defined number of times at any point in time for which the shortcut is valid. For the most part though, if you were to say you have infinte mana now and just started doing whatever you wanted to not many people would call you out on it unless they're being super strict. In which case you just invoke your shortcut and say "I repeat this for X number of times" where X is a ridiculously huge finite number and that would be acceptable.

Online makes you actually play it out and doesn't allow for shortcuts iirc, which is why some decks are more playable irl than online.

Honestly if you're just working with scraps from playing Limited, you'd probably be better served by building a deck from the full card pool and testing with something like Cockatrice, then working toward it while continuing to play Limited.
Building a scrappy Standard deck out of random draft winnings isn't going to do you much good.

In theory it wouldn't be difficult for MODO to have a macro functionality that essentially allows you to define the loop action which you then repeat a bunch of times.
But this is MODO we're talking about and it's a shit program, so that's obviously not how it actually works.

So long as you can cleanly show the loop over and over without opp. Interaction, then you can short cut so long as both players understand what is happening with the game state.
ah, interesting
when I was playing, I never encountered infinite loops, so it wasn't something I had to worry about

True, but at the very least I want to have something to use up my last 2 free points (standard New player constructed) and to try in open play for fun to learn what I'm up against. I'm also way more likely to fuck something up in Cockatrice.

Technically that's for a finite loop. Infinite loops end in draws because unless the player with active priority has an instant speed interaction then the game will end in a draw.

One day you're the top deck, the next your entire core is gone.

But at least it's one-off.)
Also the lyrics for Miss Missing You make more sense than most FOB songs tbh.

My boss, who has never so much as written a line of code in her life, tried to lecture me today on the merits of Web Forms vs MVC and why I'm wrong to do what I'm doing.
I'm so fucking glad I'm gone. I might just say fuck it and be done on Friday.

I'm so fucking glad I'm gone. I might just say fuck it and be done on Friday. Honestly, I'm kinda surprised you're still at work. Common policy at office buildings is when somebody gives their notice they're asked to pack up their things, told not to come back, and given the pay for their final 2 weeks.
Discussions like this make me wish I did something with my life...

That's not how it works at my office. Someone gives their 2 weeks, HR puts out an email informing the company to meet with that person before they leave if you were actively working on projects with them.

Yeah my boss basically already said "you've used enough PTO in the last couple weeks that we'll probably have to dock your pay".
I don't expect to be compensated for the last week I'm here tbh.

Sounds like your boss's bonus is tied into how shitty she treats her employees.

How can you get this person fired before you leave?
