Wait, you know Bad Apple? ôo And what's the deal with the Spiderman thing? Its movie exploitation rights were held by someone else (iirc Marvel only started doing the movies themselves a few years ago) and Marvel had to get them back to include Spiderman in their own movies? | ||

Sony: Spider-Man Fox: X-Men,Deadpool,Mutants, Fantastic Four Marvel: Everything else for the most part. This is how the movie rights break down. The only reason Sony had the movie rights is because of the reboot "Amazing" franchise which was a thrown together "we can't not have spiderman" effort by Sony as if you don't use the rights they'd revert back to Marvel. While the 2nd Amazing Spiderman film did quite well both in NA and the up and coming Asian markets it was a critical failure. Combined this with the delay of the 3rd/4th films Sony most likely wanted to remain relevant and made a deal for Marvel to use the character. Why? Cus money and they get to potentially use Marvel hero tie ins to make the "Amazing Spiderman" series offer more buzz. Buzz =bigger day one,first weekend box office numbers and in the end more money. | ||
