I can't hop on League and just play right now because I have no IP or RP and am missing like 70 champs. I own nothing on Smite or Heroes. I own everything on Dota2. Hell I can even play multiple heroes in one game(ARDM) or heroes that don't really exist(AD).
This is how it goes with everyone I play with in terms of evaluating what to play in Heroes, in equal measure pretty much:
-Does it meet a daily requirement? -Do I like to play this hero -Does it make sense with what someone else picked
I've never felt, man if only I had this other hero unlocked... and if I did I can buy any hero I want in the game right now and I play on average 1 Heroes game a day.
You're fighting a losing battle here mord. We tried to make Smite a thing, and that game is far less hated here =P

I feel like Blizzard had to tune down some of the iconic abilities to make them more "fun-sized" and that hurts the iconic-ness of it a lot to me. Why does Diablo not have Bone Prison (which to me is FAR AND AWAY his most iconic ability across D2 and D3)? Why does Illidan not become ranged when he Metamorphoses? Why is Jaina's summon Water Elemental an ultimate ability?
Wrong. Lightning hose.
I mean, both are in both games, so at that point I guess it's a matter of opinion.
Plz yangers. I know it doesn't happen often but even you have to admit when you're wrong.

I think that approach is reasonable as well, though I don't know how commercially successful it is.
It's interesting that when HoN moved from being a full paid game to F2P, they didn't retain the full unlock as a purchasable option, and instead made it a limited feature relegated solely to legacy accounts. I think that was a questionable move, but it probably didn't change the fate of the game regardless.
I've played 2 games of HoN ever and I own the full version. I'm an idiot.
I read about 'going infinite' on MTGO yesterday and it just sounds so unappealing to me. All the guides are like 'NEVER PLAY LIMITED EVER YOU FUCKING MORON'

Does smite still have that bundle you buy to get all future heroes and current ones? Thought that was cool. Dislike people following league model tbh. You aren't going to get people that play league to play another moba that also has a significant economic inertia involved.

Almost makes me want to start grinding bot games again.
Almost.
Hmm... I need to find two more friends for Medieval Twitch...

As far as I'm aware, yes. They only planned on having it through the beta, but I know they extended it, and I think they decided to keep it.
There are a couple new gods that I have no idea how they work. Tried to play a siege as Awilix that went incredibly poorly. There's a cool new hunter that I still need to try. I tried playing Nyx back when she was first release, but had no idea what I was doing. Sylvanus is a really fun/great support.
I've played one ranked game this season because life =(
3x midterms (11th/13th/13th, would've been 4 but monday's a stat holiday in BC, I originally had a 4th midterm on the 13th) 3x project course milestone (10th/12th/13th 8-10 hour investment into each of these, minimum) 3x minor assignment - minimum of 1 hour, maximum of 3 hours that I don't care about.

That's cuz you don't have to worry about the cancer. What is dead may never die.

You're missing out "old man who was right all along"
Every third message recently is "fucked up shit going down" or "holy fuck"
The friend that made us play it set up an IRC highlight sound to ahahah.wav as said sound file (it's a mocking laugh that pops pretty often in the game, but only appears at the very end of the first episode for the first time—kinda shows how the whole game is a gradation of "wtf" over the episodes are Beatrice tries harder), and we tend to type it when it happens as we LR. He was recording a Portal LP for his youtube channel while I was playing, and there's a laughter popping up randdomly while he's on a puzzle. He goes "wtf" then proceeds to plug Umineko and resume his LP. I got /slapped once he finished recording though.
Also piano video game music? Yup, Marasy. And I don't think there's even any touhou in that one, even Soniv can click! (Frudgey too, if he somehow happens to still take a peak to the site from time to time.)

People are stupid and dont remember that dealing with a techies slows games down and so they rush headlong into stupid areas and die to 4-7 mine stacks.
