He's probably not eating right or sleeping enough because he's an American.

That sucks Requizen about being that sick. I can't imagine what that feels like except for just plain awful.

Remember everybody, this is why you say yes when it comes to flu shots.

But I got a flu shot

I had a horrible flu a few weeks ago which landed me in the hospital only because of previous medical issues leading to dehydration. It not for that I would have just stuck it out knowing that nothing can really be done. I was coughing up shit and had a fever of 40 for a few days. Point being for the most part, doctors know what they're doing. They don't like prescribing antibiotics willy-nilly because it's the overprescription of antibiotics that's leading us into an upcoming global crisis where we will be unable to treat ever more common multi drug resistant bacteria, which are VERY dangerous.
I mean, maybe the doc didn't have to be dismissive of you but I would imagine she's seen a billion cases exactly like yours this season.
Rest, drink stuff, and get better. It'll take some time. Maybe in Canada, but doctors loooooooooove prescribing things in America.
Yeah, and the danger is, as far as I know, is that a doctor can easily give you antibiotics and send you home but I'm pretty sure they weaken your immune system too, so you'd be better off not doing that if you could get better off some soup and bedrest.
That is the case right? Someone please tell me that antibiotics weakening your immune system isn't in league with vaccines causing autism.

I've never been one for flu shots and I am certainly no medical expert. But I think sometimes when the body is weak enough when you receive the flu shot, you don't get immunization to the flu - but you just contract it instead.

I am not a doctor, not even on the internet(thanks lawyers..) but it was my understanding that antibiotics become less effective for the population if over used due to mutations of virus strains becoming immune over time.

Well, the goal of a vaccination is to inject a dead strand into the body which creates a false positive. Your immune system basically is supposed to pull apart the flu corpses and learn how to kill it. The problem with the flu, and why people get the shot more than once, is that the strand changes often and doctors have to guess which one will be rampant at the time. Sometimes people get the flu after a shot because it wasn't killed all the way, but I assume that's an astronomically low amount of the time, or the flavor of the season is one that the shot doesn't prepare you for.

My ex had to get an endoscopy and asked me to be there while they put her under because shes terrified of needles, the nurse who would put in the IV and stuff was trying to spin her pen and dropped it, said "whoops I'm all thumbs". not comforting to my ex. xD

He did say in the post that he was doing 185lbs half-repping so I wouldn't be surprised to see him around 150-170lbs 1rm with good form and depth.
His lack of depth is pretty crappy though. I'm assuming he goes to the gym with aphro and aphro looks decently buff and can probably coach him through a bit, he has cellucor from CLG as a sponsor so he's getting preworkouts/supplements/protein so the only thing that's holding him back is himself.
@red_ Don't hate on 1 plate squats. I started at one plate around Juneish last year and it was freaking hard when I started then. (At that point I could run 10k in under an hour and played ultimate frisbee regularly so I wasn't exactly extremely out of shape) I've since worked my way up to 255x5 now. After three months on a program though I agree, most men eating correctly and doing the work should be able to do a plate with good form.

He definitely could have gone lower, could be he just has shitty ROM. Hip flexibility for deep squats is important. If you don't stretch properly it can always feel like you can't go that low in your squat.

Ankle flexibility is as, if not more important, in squatting. Also most people don't track their knees to their feet properly either. Another reason people have shitty ROM is because they get the bar out of alignment with their base, and your body will basically not let you go low if you do that(or you'll just tip over/dump the bar if you do).
And Lmui I think I covered that with the part where I was pretty forward about realizing that I'm being condescending. All of my friends and social acquaintances and whatnot tend to come from athletic circles, and I don't think there is a single guy among them that couldn't hit 225xsome decent number with decent depth. It bends my perception.
