Morning group went in right away to see who gets chosen, afternoon group had to wait around for 4 hours doing nothing. I had the afternoon group. We were given numbers and when it was time went in number order. I lucked out because they got their 12 before even getting to me. (I was #26) My group had a full on redneck with a mullet who looked like he took quite a few drugs back in the day. He could barely make coherent sentences and was the only one not dressed well....he was in work jeans and a t-shirt with holes in it lol. And also we had some metrosexual old dude (late 50's early 60's) who was obviously extremely liberal. Both sitting next to each other. The case was just they arrested some 18 year old selling illegal drugs in some back alley in Tampa so the judge asked anyone if they have any problems being impartial about drugs. Super liberal metrosexual gave this long spiel about how he felt it was so wrong to arrest people for drugs and yadda yadda. 5 mins later: "Can you remain an inpartial judge." ".....Yes." lol 100% lying out of his ass. The judge didn't choose him for that reason. Was pretty lame tbh. I had a stats exam the next day so didn't really want to be there..... ![]() oh yeah you stop the metrosexual judging the 18 year old pothead but we let all the racists judge no problemerino god bless america

If a racist gets on the bench, it's because they didn't make it known they are a racist.

It may be abstract, but it's still a thought. Can't have thoughts if you're dead.

Have you ever died? If you've died and then come back to live, then I am sorry for such accusations and then I would consider you the most terrifying person on this subforum.

You just know that guy, if he got on, would vote not guilty and in turn cause the jurors to be there forever. But the "impartial" judge of the court decided not to let him on so there's that. I dislike how messed up the american legal system is at times. On January 13 2015 05:13 Frudgey wrote: Technically you don't know that we can't have thoughts once we are dead. Have you ever died? My Buddhist philosophy professors from India would be proud. Then they'd fail you for saying you have to get angry to win.

You don't really have the capacity to have memories when you're that young. Personally, my earliest memory is from when I was like 4. By the time you've matured, your thoughts carry more weight, meaning, memory, etc.

Saying that you don't remember having any thoughts means that you didn't have thoughts I have more issue with. It's possible (though I admit unlikely) that you could have primitive thoughts while in the womb. I don't remember what I was debating anymore.

http://www.adultswim.com/videos/space-ghost-coast-to-coast/conan-obrien/ One of the very few episodes of this show I've seen, but I love it. And the one with bjork. All of I sudden I feel very tolk-y.

18 Going to start DM'ing a 5th edition dungeons and dragons campaign soon. Do you guys have any pro advice for me? Don't get hit? Anything else? Yango is a really good resource (if he's willing to help). I can answer some questions too, but I'm really bad at open ended stuff lol. -Figure out what kind of campaign your players want (heavy combat, RP, etc.) -Build a world you'd want to play in
