I had to go to jury duty once. I sat around for a couple hours and then got dismissed.

I have a friend down in San Diego who has a Nazi armband for the specific purpose that when he goes for jury duty he wears it and they tell him to leave in typically only one or two minutes.

I was selected once, but because I'm registered to vote in an area two hours away from where I live, I got out of it. Which reminds me, I should probably change my registration, but that requires effort on my part.

I had to leave my home at 6 am to get to jury duty....sat around for their video, then we were split into a morning an afternoon group. Morning group went in right away to see who gets chosen, afternoon group had to wait around for 4 hours doing nothing. I had the afternoon group. We were given numbers and when it was time went in number order. I lucked out because they got their 12 before even getting to me. (I was #26)

My group had a full on redneck with a mullet who looked like he took quite a few drugs back in the day. He could barely make coherent sentences and was the only one not dressed well....he was in work jeans and a t-shirt with holes in it lol.
And also we had some metrosexual old dude (late 50's early 60's) who was obviously extremely liberal. Both sitting next to each other. The case was just they arrested some 18 year old selling illegal drugs in some back alley in Tampa so the judge asked anyone if they have any problems being impartial about drugs. Super liberal metrosexual gave this long spiel about how he felt it was so wrong to arrest people for drugs and yadda yadda. 5 mins later: "Can you remain an inpartial judge."
".....Yes."
lol 100% lying out of his ass. The judge didn't choose him for that reason.

Was pretty lame tbh. I had a stats exam the next day so didn't really want to be there.....
