casual Before my indoor soccer game the other night, there were ultimate games being played on the field. And the entire time I was just like "oh man this is way more up my alley, I just wanna run out on the field and play" | ||

I've actually struggled a lot recently. I like going to church, I grew up going every week and I like the traditions and rites. I feel comfortable there. But obviously I don't agree with everything the Church does or has done, the Catholic organization is run by men and has done terrible things in the past (and present), just has any organization run by humans does. I know a lot of really great Catholics who follow Jesus's teachings, and I know a lot of people who use the Church as a social standing to feel superior to others and generally act like jerks. The teachings of Christ are about love and humility, and I think it's perfectly reasonable to be a good person and follow those tenants without going to mass every week. My fiancee and I talked about this recently, where she was worried that she wasn't religious enough for me, but she's a great person and honestly if she's condemned by other people just because she doesn't like to pray every night or go to mass on Sundays, then I'd stand by her side before anyone else. Sorry for the rant, it's just been on my mind lately. Probably the american way of ignoring most shit and making your own religion is good but then they base it off the bible and have an excuse to campaign against gays and shit. At least the white supremacists have no religious backing so they tend to get absolutely shit on.
