Personally I'm more thinking about the fact that it's one of the first attacks (if not the first) related to terrorism and not an isolated individual. Also that I don't read the newspaper as much as I ought to.

Quests tell you how to play and I'd prefer just to play whatever I want whenever I want however long I want and get rewarded for it. In this regard I like LoL's system a lot.

My primary gripe is that the vast majority of gold income in Hearthstone and Heroes is tied to quests. On average a quest in Hearthstone is worth as much gold as 15 wins. If you assume 10 minute games with a 50% win rate, then it takes five hours of play to match a single quest. That's pretty extreme and the last time I checked/cared the disparity was even worse in Heroes. There's also the simple unfun nature of being forced to do something you don't want to do. This is particularly demotivating when you have a limited amount of time to play and have to spend the bulk of it in this fashion.

I would prefer it that way. In my view, it's a f2p hoop which, while inconvenient, fits the mindset of those types of players. Otherwise you'd spend money on what you wanted to play, aka what Blizzard wants.

One of our more controversial online blogs has a vid of a cop being executed point blank by the terrorists with a fucking AK. I do hope there's going to be a second Draw Muhammad Day now. I think I read that he might still be alive. When I watched it, there seemed to be a surprising lack of blood for such an up close shot, and in rewatching, it kinda seems like the terrorist missed.

I'm not really convinced that a good response to someone harming others for their faith should be antagonizing everyone of that faith.

Seuss hits the reason that I don't like Hearthstone right on the head. My other big problem is that you don't get anything for losing a game. That might sound weird when you just say it, but in EVERYTHING ELSE you get something for a loss. In LoL you still get IP, and in MMOs you still get EXP or whatever. If you got 10 dust for every 3 losses I'd probably like Hearthstone a lot more, because as is if I play it and have a long, close game where I end up losing, I typically immediately turn the game off and don't play it for the rest of the day.

But the thing is, the terrorists attacked because they found these images offensive. So complying to their wishes only shows them that they have power over us. It's a really touchy balance, sure, but removing [what they deem to be] offensive content because some dumb fucks get butt hurt over it is only letting them win.

"Letting the terrorists win" is a pretty dumb concept imo. Risking further bloodshed and insulting an entire people just to spite a handful of extremists is a petty move on the whole. I'm all for freedom of speech, but if not printing Muhammad's is more polite and decreases the chances of further terrorist actions, then that seems like the more logical action, no?
