To be fair, Green Lantern is still Green Lantern (though Geoff is off GL; still, it's probably one of DC's strongest titles), and Aquaman has been written very well in the past year, but eh. There are gems, but I've been somewhat jaded about DC since they effectively killed off Booster Gold's character development with the new 52. You can look at the DC animated movie Flashpoint Paradox and JL: War for some of the modern storylines. Flashpoint was essentially where they rewrote all the canon, and Justice League: War is the storyline reboot for JLA. The animated movies carry the storylines very well, despite some of the major pacing issues in Flashpoint Paradox (lots of cameos which will thrill comic book readers, but really, it's far too fast-paced). I wonder if they'll ever do Kingdom Come as an animated movie. Best comic ever, light marvel jabs included. | ||

If Healbot let me choose a minion to heal, even if it was for 6, I'd probably play at least one. edit: This is just dumb. Has anybody seen Unstable Portal not get a strong Legendary? Guy I just played got a Rag first, then top decked a Tirion while I had lethal on board. Never seen Unstable Portal got snag something Legendary. | ||

I saw Unstable Portal get stormpike commando. It's 'k, because that's exactly what the mage needed to kill one of my big minions and save himself from lethal (think I BoK a fen creeper or something). | ||

I love far seer. and healbot is key to my control hunter. though my control hunter is still super janky because i dont have the cards i need. but feign death is just phenomenal, i've won a bunch of games on its back. | ||

I overvalued the former when assessing GvG cards (we had this discussion about Tree of Life too) but discounted the latter too much. I can't even tell if this is intentional or if Blizzard is really bad at making their own game meet their ostensible design goals. | ||
