Priest/Mage apologist. Hunter/Rogue hater. On December 14 2014 03:46 Numy wrote: I still think Druid is a really versatile class against everything in the game currently. I can prob do a Giants mage but no echoes. Don't need it. Just run the old Crusher handmage with x2 duplicates. Explosive sheep and Flamecannon help in the early game where Handmage REALLY needed it, but otherwise it's pretty much the same. What's his highest rank? It's about time I set a goal for myself. Rank 6 atm and feel the need to climb. CLIMB. Also, 24 games till golden mage portrait. Reached Rank 4 awhile ago and could never be arsed to climb to Legend with the Hunter into Miracle Rogue into Hunter meta.

I got enough dust to craft the 2 remaining giants I need. Not sure if I want to do that or craft 2 lores and start druid.

Honestly, do Giants, since they're also useful for building Handlock, which also remains a strong deck. Druids are absolutely a versatile and powerful class, however. Both Ramp and Token. Lores are essential to running any Druid deck however. On December 14 2014 03:51 Alaric wrote: What is there to hate in Rogue? Note that Crusher's handmage is good vs. Handlock, because he has x2 fireballs. Non-fireball handmages struggle in the matchup, due to being unable to burst down Handlock against full board clears. Replace Sunfuries, Argus, and perhaps Twilights for explosive sheep, flamecannon, and another water elemental (or polymorph), and you should be good to go. The anti-aggro from sheeps and flamecannon, and the significantly smaller amounts of flares, is why Handmage is better now.

I stopped playing Priest for a long time due to how many Rogues there were. See I never went past rank 14 so Miracle Rogue wasn't a thing for me. I haven't seen more than half a dozen. Every variant of Hunter on the other hand, fully-fledged Control Warriors with their 6 legendaries, and about every single class running Leeroy (who at that point appeared in about a third of my opponents' decks) I know about it, and it sucked. So it's hard for me to hate on Rogue when it was the class I was trying to make work without having Leroy (could have crafted a prep and 2 auctioneers but wouldn't be better off) and it was just sad and hapless and pathetic against most opponents, even those not running 3+ legendaries themselves. Then I read about Backspace and thought it'd be somewhat effective. Subbed an Argent Commander for Leroy (already had 2 Arcane Golems), had a small bit of success at some point, but in the end it's a pile of dung that's very reliant on good draws because of the combo you have to use, where arcane golems pretty much kill you if you're forced to play them early, and where if they have some removal having to use cold blood early puts you in a bind too. But because you need your combos (and you don't have "enablers" like backstab and you want to combo cold blood and eviscerate so going second is super important too for the additional card and the coin) you can end up with a dead end by turn 4 pretty easily. I still don't understand how Backspace managed to make it to Legend with such a thing. Even if I had Leeroy so many of these games would have still been autolosses. So I gave up on Rogue after that because I don't have enough dust to craft a legendary (about 1200 atm, I didn't craft much apart from Argus/SSC/DID, a manip, an azure drake and a doomguard, but prior to Naxx's announcement I didn't play at all for maybe 3-4 months), and it was obvious Leeroy was the single most important card with Shadowstep for Rogue decks at that time, unless you ran Miracle. I opened 2 Dust Devils Mk. II and 2 crackle so maybe I'll try to do something with Shaman, guess I can use Bloodlust as a finisher since I have no legendaries/epics for him. Control Warrior I won't go that far without the legendaries and running Manip and Stalag/Feugen to "sub" for finishers (or copy enemy legendaries/Thaddius if I get him out) only rarely works. Demonlock could be interesting. I didn't have Jaraxxus or Molten Giants for the Naxx version though, and I certainly won't have Mal'Ganis either, so I dunno how viable my thing could be.
