I checked and Avenge is actually a common card so I can see how you see it more than Defender (although Defender is still often the best pick out of 3 commons I think). Pack gave me mindgames. Looks bad outside of troll decks, but hey, an epic is an epic, I'll take it.

It's fun, no doubt about that, but when you have to play like 1 of 5 decks in order to get anywhere and there is barely any room for creativity/strategy I dunno. You're underestimating how many viable decks there are after hunter "died". Also deth of the bots.

And I must admit I haven't followed HS in quite a while---never even saw any of those bots you complained about for so long. I truly hope the expac helps with some of the creativity/viability issues I mentioned above but from people's general opinions of the cards I'd have to assume that won't be true.

Youve never played ranked the nights before the bans then. Literally 70-80% of late night HS was sea giant shamanbot or zoolock bot. The ladder from rank 10+ were littered with them even in the day. There were ridic easy tells.

HS has a great, albeit simplified, system setup that once they add xpacs of cards to should still prove to be a fun game. It's nowhere near as competitively viable at the highest echelon of play as MTG but who says it should be? It's just like how League targets players who wouldn't also be dota players. HS is targeting the non-MTG players (and lo-behold, it's way more people). Well to be fair people make the argument that DotA isn't more complex strategically etc. than LoL and I would argue that it most certainly is. Each game has its place and that can/should be respected. All I think it comes down to for me personally is I wish I had more time for/were better at the MtGs/DotAs of the world, but I'm perfectly happy playing what I do for my own reasons. I can appreciate and watch competitive LoL despite it not being as broad and complex as DotA (and sometimes it is certainly obvious in that regard as well), but competitive HS truly bores me to tears.

Imo blizzard hit the online market way harder with their superior ui, and ease of use.

Since you're just stating that those are simply your opinions I won't really carry it on further, I'll just point out a difference between "I don't like it" and "what's so competitive about HS?" HS is competitive if compared to idk... some shitty online game like Urban Rivals or Duel of Champions, but obviously it's not as deep as MTG.

Yeah as I said that's true, but I just haven't liked how HS has been shoved down our throats as the next big ESPORT when it REALLY doesn't feel that way to me. It feels like a bunch of people with big fake smiles on and big fake hype trying to feed something to the public. It just feels so completely forced. The game is fun, it just doesn't scream ESPORTS to me.
