Also I'm fine with a completely random party where no one knows about anyone else basically. The intro hook I have in my head doesn't even have the characters knowing each other prior unless they really want to. Essentially you don't START as a party. Circumstances demand it. If that ceases and you go your separate ways, I can't stop you, but I'd prefer you didn't.

It is easy to find to torrent. But if you are like me and can't do that at work I know what you saying. Maybe asmo will be nice enough to throw it up on dropbox like he did in the past with other books we were talking about.

If you never played d&d it probably would be more advantageous for you to read/skip through some of the handbook before jumping in to making a character. Gotta figure out what classes you like and stuff to get hype.
