Son, no.
Children singing slowly to make it creepy is hackneyed as all hell and groan inducing.
First I don't know where you got 'creepy from. They're clearly setting a melancholic tone.
Second, I would argue that it's not hackneyed at all, and in fact is a very recent development that summer blockbusters try to set tones of depression and sadness in their trailer when the audience knows(probably) that the story will be about the heroes triumph, and be fast paced with lots of action.
Just because shitty horror/thriller movies do it doesn't mean it can't be done right.
Also I fucking love that they took a song about extreme jubilance and turned it on its head, especially since that song is a direct tie to the storyline of the movie(former puppet, free of his master, as cliche as that may be, we knew it would be that the entire fucking time so its a little late to bitch about it).
Edit: Also only tangentially related, the word hackneyed is the most overused and trite(lololol c wut I did?) thing to say in a passing internet critique. I want CSheep's opinion on this.

I am going to be home come mid December and I am looking for a full time job. If any of you happen to work at a place or know of a company that is looking for a recently Returned Peace Corps Volunteer hoping to land a job in the Software Engineer/IT/Literally anything to do with computers area - lemme know!
Also, what's the best way to apply for jobs nowadays? Career fairs made it EZPZ but now that I am on the internet I don't get it. I go to sites like indeed.com, simplyhired.com, etc. and after making a profile on those websites, when I apply for the jobs they ALSO ask for a profile/resume/everything soooooo like what's the point? Seems redundant neh?
EDIT: As for jobs galt, i hear gumtree/craigslist is a pretty good place to look in america, in the UK its just full of perverts looking for young females who will suck them off while working for them =p

Some day when I finally get to England to watch my Man City boys play, I will take you up on that offer. I didn't think of craigslist, but I don't reaaaaally care where in America I work. Still, I'll give it a try - thanks!
Sooooo not sure if this is kosher but it's for a good cause so whatever...
If you working folks (or anybody who feels like they want to donate to a good cause) have some extra cash floating around, me and my school would really appreciate it! The goal is unrealistic I know but many things here Lesotho are bought piecemeal and built as the money comes in. Literally any amount, from 1$ to 10000$ helps. Please consider donating if you got nothing else to spend your cash on. Maybe don't buy Dunkmaster Darius until next month and instead give it to the kindred spirits at St. Denis High School tryna have a sanitary and healthy lunch

Hey, that offer was for people trying to escape your wrath upon your righteous return. Although i guess getting you to come to the UK saves them too in a roundabout way, fuck it, i'll sacrifice myself for the greater good.
Will be sure to donate to St. Denis come payday too, even if it is a pathetic amount considering my paycheck and bills T.T Having lived in Sri Lanka and seen some awful situations truly poor people have to live in in 3rd world countries, i entirely sympathize and afaik Lesotho has it alot worse .

Despite the wonders of the internet looking for work is still mostly just knowing people who know opportunities and applying directly to those opportunities. All the same you *can* get jobs from the internet, although setting up a passive profile online is not as good as applying directly to the job regardless of supposed redundancies. Ideally you're always pursuing multiple avenues for employment anyways. Still, the internet is not the ideal place to search, even cold-calling people on the phone can be more effective. That said my brother is a programmer and I know he used Linkedin (as well as applying directly to places) and many places have switched their application process to be totally online and constantly list all their openings (Mathworks, for one, they're always advertising that they're hiring).
Continue to tell friends, old co-workers, and everyone else you meet that you're looking for work and if they know anything about your field they'll often point you to the most helpful websites for you or even directly to specific companies that are hiring (e.g. Mathworks). It's been a few years since I read "What Color is Your Parachute?" but the people you meet IRL are generally your #1 source of a successful place to apply. As a software engineer you though shouldn't have it too hard though, just submit whatever the advertisements ask for (redundant or not) and always send follow ups to your application emails. Send thank yous after interviews too, people really like that.
