Race: elf/human split Alignment: lawful good Class: warrior cleric Background: humble cleric who spent his days looking after the village youth and promoting peace through out the region. One day his village gets raided by goblins and all the villagers get killed except for a lone child (who gets greatly injured). Papawave (his nickname for taking care of the village children) vows to raise this child and seek revenge on all goblins for their crimes against him. This shit is cake. You can then blend wave into joining the group because he runs into them when he finds one of the goblin camps and the other party members are nearby. Anyone else want me to write their story. I've done Jeff and wave so far.

Yah there's some pretty good material in there. Pity that some other people who jumped on the Abridging train don't have as good comedy material. Only the ultimate evil would welcome a kender party. The setting will be one of my own design. It's been in the back of my mind for a while now. I'll do worldbuilding posts on my blog (which I'll link here as well) to establish the setting more as we get closer to the date. Startropics is one of the best NES games overall. I recommend that. If the application process actually requires effort I probably have the time to do it/come up with a character thus time, except I don't have any DND background so I might need a little help or examples as to what to write about, or come up with. You don't actually have to write up a character sheet. Just name, class, race, and backstory. We can do actual rules afterwards but I'm more looking for people who put thought into their creations. ![]() That being said, don't post them here because I'd want to judge them anonymously. The whole point of the process is to avoid favoritism since many want to play, not just those who I see posting about it frequently (though I suspect those will be the people who put in the most effort regardless). Startropics is really good, I can recommend. One of my favorite NES games is Legend of Kage. If you wanted a classic popular NES experience Ninja Gaiden is definitely a good choice. I'd also recommend Double Dragon.

Also, NES games are harrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrd.
