Jeff's character should be named Jeff. A 12 year old boy who lost his parents in the Great War. While wandering the burned down city where he lived he discovers a group of rag tag warriors. Shelke being the noble, proud and widely considered best ranger in the known world takes pity on the young one and lets him join the party.
Further down the line I save Jeff's life from a giant black bear and from that moment on he pledges himself as my slave.

It's still two months away but I was considering a blind-submission of characters and I pick ones with lots of effort that I think are cool. It'll also be important that whoever plays can reliably schedule three hours every week (or two weeks if it's too tough to do weekly). If that sounds subjective and unfair to people then we can do some kind of lottery or contest instead. I think I'd cap participants at 5, then eliminate them from other campaigns I DM should they ever arise.
All theoretical though. Only thing I know is it would start in December because then I'll be free of other GM obligations.

Ninja Gaiden.
For such an old game the controls are actually really smooth and responsive. I hate platformers (why does Mario slide so much?) but liked Ninja Gaiden. It is wicked hard obviously.

Also Asmo just remember your DND campaign (and everyone else's entertainment) can only be enhanced by taking on a Co. Please and utter newbie into the party. *wink wink*
Srsly though I want to play. How exactly are you going to pick who plays? Both what? Chinese and Jewish? It's possible that one or two are I guess but given the number of Chinese people who are Jewish (or even Canadians that are Jewish), it's statistically impossible for more than that, barring some extreme nepotism.
Did they take days off specifically for Jewish new year?

I didn't do a survey. I asked one of the guys taking the day off why it seemed like everyone took the same day off, and he linked me to a Hebrew calendar.

too bad i can't say the same about NG2 or 3 though.

D&D is fun, if you can find a DM who can streamline combat and rolls.

Ghandi you just crossed a terrible threshold. I hope you are prepared for the consequences. You do not talk shit about the super mario rpg.

There are (supposedly) Chinese jews. But they are extremely few in number.
Sounds like a cheaty way for a day off!

i warned him last time but he has already gotten away with it once

Yeah we had this discussion once Jeff just has no taste because he's not old enough to have it. But also super Mario rpg is not an NES game. Startropics is one of the best NES games overall. I recommend that.
If the application process actually requires effort I probably have the time to do it/come up with a character thus time, except I don't have any DND background so I might need a little help or examples as to what to write about, or come up with.
