Its not the most noteable one and certainly not the most impactful one, that goes to the way the new damage type works, roshan works, the way the Dire offlane is structured and the new runes/courier system or whatever other change. Each of those changes is significantly more impactful then the BKB change. The simplification of damage types is also a good thing for whoever wants to delve more into the game, it was so needlessly complex, now it looks a lot easier to understand and remember. This is actually a very significant change and effects a multitude of heroes very strongly, those who use Blink Dagger and those who use any type of previously HP removal. They didn't just simplify it, they changed it. | ||

Basically they made the system easier to explain, but harder to remember everything about since there are more exceptions (whereas the old system was complicated to explain, but relatively self-consistent once you understood it). EDIT: Actually the real problem is that nobody would ever teach the old system in terms of "attack type" and "damage type" as two separate concepts. All of a skill's properties are simply the combination of their attack type and damage type, but rather than remembering a few straightforward types that combine several different ways, people choose to teach (and remember) the combinations which make the whole thing seem like a bloody mess. | ||
