Legion Commander pretty nerfed on PTA and lategame Duels as anticarry tools it seems. Also roshan and runes changes. The active on the new Vanguard-based item seems pretty good, maybe people will joke less about seeing a Vanguard now.  Bane's Aghanim made me laugh. AND THAT SUPPORT SVEN. Kaolin nerfs make me sad. And that slap to the face with the "kill a T1, give them their glyph back" and tower gold changes, fast push really didn't please. The simplification of damage types is also a good thing for whoever wants to delve more into the game, it was so needlessly complex, now it looks a lot easier to understand and remember. It's almost a new game with all the changes. The biggest of them though, they haven't even gotten to yet. Black King Bar being tied to the hero and not the item means you can't just throw it into your stash and buy a new one, you also can't refresh it with a Refresher Orb. The entire patch could be thrown out, and that single change, would do more to affect the way dota is played, then anything else in the whole patch. | ||

They had the standard orc soldiers which were free, and orc archers. Haradrim sucked but on the back of mumakill they could make the unit combo pretty beastly. Rhun soldiers were mordors "pikemen" which kind of sucked because it's a lvl 2 palace build but they were retardedly strong. Basically protecting your palaces was really important even in casual games. Mordors real strength was their siege weapons though. Fire catapults are able to decimate an entire base reallyyyyy quickly. They're fricken insane. Fast loading and most damage in the game siege weapon-wise. Isengard was the one with crossbowmen and actual pikemen. They're really good against rohan in general. Also if you actually can place and light a mine it's extremely satisfying. I normally played rohan since I prefer calvary, archers, and using heroes though. Legolas alone can take out an entire player by himself. Gondor was pretty sick sometimes because they had some of the strongest standard units in the game. Also, gandalf's a beast. | ||

Now with it being tied to the hero and not the item, buying a second BKB is worthless, so you just save for buyback/manta/skadi whatever and throw anything else into a second courier and just have it troll around behind you with items that are on CD. | ||
