Amazing. It's too bad VoDs don't include chat.

Up early to work work.
Saw my Mom and Dad yesterday. Ended up paying for lunch and dinner, and the gas there and back because "we don't have it.", and yet they can buy new phones for their selves earlier this week. It's like I get my raise at work and suddenly everyone I know thinks I make big dollar bills. Which is mostly true, but I still worked for them. Not you, 19 year old brother who hasn't worked a day in his life.
Yesterday had me more furious in 24 hours than any other situation I had ever been in. I just want work to start so I have something to keep my mind off of that trash day.

I'm not familiar with your past/childhood but for me while I will never be like "oh hey uncle you needed cash no problem" if it's close family I'm a tad more willing to pay for stuff. Simply because single parent was willing to work 9-5 then 6-10 monday-friday to put me in private school so I'd have an education worth a damn. So the occasional, 'can you cover this?' is perfectly fine for me but I fully understand that such things can get you in trouble as I know nothing is worse then having a family member owe you money.
*shrug* Just remember you've got something good going and with good work and ability it'll take you to a spot where you really couldn't give a damn if they asked you to pay for something. I think, I mean you sound pretty good at what you do so yeah..

Story time! (Sort of) So we're at my parents again for the weekend visiting and so we can check up on the condo we own. The place we're renting currently in Waterloo is 1200 ish sq. ft. Our tenants recently moved out of the condo we own back here because we're moving back in a month. They left it in amazing condition and even had it cleaned--- we really managed to luck out with these people. They stayed for three years and ex never had any issues with them at all. Anyway our condo that we lived in for a year before moving out to Waterloo is under 1000 sq. ft. Great for a newlywed couple, but a couple with kids ( and a shit ton of hand-me-down furniture) not so much. It's doable but I've been kind of spoiled by the relatively large space we have now. We're going to have to put a shit ton of stuff into storage, we don't have shelving space for food (gonna have to use the storage locker in the basement of the building) and as small a space as I have now for my computer and stuff (I'm currently in a corner of the living room) now it's going to be even smaller.
I'm also thinking it may be the end of my short-lived streaming career. The computer is going to be across a very thin wall from what will be the guy's room. It's similar to the situation we have now but a little different since our place now is bigger and has carpeting which absorbs sound. Our condo has laminate flooring so everything is amplified and his room is much closer to the main area---hell I'm worried we may not even be able to watch tv at night without waking him, never mind trying to talk/stream after he's gone to bed. It may not be an issue at all, but I guess we'll see. Suggestions are welcome. The next little while before I manage to finish my degree and get a real job is going to kind of suck. I want a house so badly.
Also on top of my wife and the guy being sick, I've gotten sick now too. And for some ungodly reason I have canker sores that have appeared in every corner of my mouth all at once so eating and talking sucks a big one.
Still better than surgery/hospital though.

If you're worried about thin walls you can spend some money getting some soundproof foam and set it up on the wall.
As far as flooring goes. Using a shag rug or carpet rug could do wonders.

Would look awful and we'd have to coat his door with it or something. We already have some carpeting for the place but we obviously wouldn't be covering the whole place in it. Maybe we should get some for his room though.

Yeah soundproofing wall and ceiling can reduce noise by a lot. I would look at the floor last except maybe a plastic thing for your desk chair to stand/roll on. Also, your kid will need to learn to sleep in noise some time, though I understand it's feels bad to put any extra strain on him.

I've noticed a remarkable increase in the quality of games just simply due to team coordination on both sides. It really makes things a lot more interesting
