I've also seen Saosin live at Toad's Place (small hole in the wall in New Haven, CT). They were AMAZING.

And Blocparty, uh... 'k, I'll admit, I've only her one of their songs at the radio, but it was everywhere all the time to the point where it's more "do you remember" than "do you know". ![]() Granted, there're the 3 popular songs and then the 5 albums noone has ever heard of. Genesis isn't only "Jesus he knows me" yo.

I hope the manual helps me out a ton, I'm generally always confused about everything and it isn't helpful when I read out of date things and then wonder why I can't make skull mentors (ooooh, they don't exist anymore! (they don't, right?)). (Aside, I think I saw soloside post on their desura forums. WAT?) On a different note anyone who likes nuzlocke drama needs to read the original minion permadeath drama that was the XCOM: UFO defence let's play.

Nightwish Sonata Arctica among lots of others Strange definition of lesser known since anyone with exposure to power/symphonic metal will know them...they're basically two of the biggest names in the genre. The original question is silly any ways since anything that's not Billoboard top 100 is basically "not modern/popular" by some definition. Everyone knows who Beethoven is but no one listens to Beethoven, does he qualify? There's just too much music out there.

If you'll allow me to indulge in kpop for a second, I could tell you being a fan of T-ara or SNSD means you only listen to the big name groups, but at the same time no one outside of kpop knows who they are for the most part.

I know Nightwish from like 2 songs and had never heard of Sonata Arctica, but I don't really know the genre. *RIP

Tu To Na Aayi by F4 is popular in India, but does anybody here even know the song? Or the artist. But that doesn't mean it's not popular. k-pop is popular in korea (hence the name hurr) In the end, there's very little truly globally popular music. But if something is popular within a genre or within a region, it's still popular. Just within that genre/region-
