The best part about it is that the (relatively) slow pace of both games mean I can play both at the same time, doing battle in between Arena matches and what not.

Me, my aunt, my uncle (and maybe someone else, I don't remember) almost got attacked by a pack of about a dozen stray/feral dogs just out of Bangkok, Thailand. If anyone has ever played Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl and encountered a massive pack of dogs, it was sort of like that. Except when we stood our ground, the leader of the pack backed off and the rest lost their nerve.
But for about 3 seconds a dozen ferals were running at us about as fast as possible. My thought when they were coming toward us was "Okay, I'm probably going to live if they actually attack us, but this is going to hurt like hell."

Ha well he's not too yappy and I've heard far worse. Only when he see another dog walking by his turf from the bay windowsill behind the couch he lays on.

Not really. You can open up your own Shopping Mall-esque thing called the Join Avenue and one of the things the shops can do is insta-level your Pokemon. There's also Powers you can activate like increasing exp gain for a short period of time, as well as the fact you get given a Lucky Egg. Like I've said before, Gen V has some of the easiest times grinding and training and everything since like, ever.
Alternatively, you just ask a friend to clone their flawless Pokemon for you. That works too.
