Coffee is stupid. Well, having any caffeine past noon is kinda silly if you expect a normal night. I'm hoping I can fall asleep in the next 20 minutes to avoid 5.
Top page history fact: On this day in 1779, Grand Duke Constantine Pavlovich of Russia was born. What he did? I don't know, it was just the top result in google!

I sometimes wonder what it is like to be affected by caffeine in such a drastic way. In a way I envy you Ketara, I enjoy this beverage for the taste and mildest jolt of energy. You, you get to enjoy the full force of it. Embrace it I say! Such things are the very foundation of the modern world. Go forth and be productive etc etc.
Conversely more coffee will surely solve all your problems.

Yeah whenever I drink caffeine I'm going to be up for at least 15 more hours. I'm so sensitive to the stuff. So basically if I drink caffeine I better do it before noon otherwise there will be severe consequences.
And then there's people who drink an energy drink and then fall asleep in two hours. Just goes to show how different everyone is.
MORAL OF THE STORY IS: WE'RE ALL "SPECIAL"

If you're a non-responder you can try taking the caffeine on an empty stomach if you aren't, that's a big reason a lot of people don't feel the effects(they commonly drink coffee with breakfast or something). Also, drink more water. Caffeine is a diuretic, but it needs water to distribute properly, so if you're dehydrated you won't get the full effect(you might also get headaches too, worst of both worlds). Also, if you used to respond but stopped, you were either taking too much(receptor attenuation) or taking it too often, and taking a break from all stimulants for awhile should help reset the system as it were.
It could also be Adrenal Fatigue, but that is a pretty serious issue beyond the scope of 'oh coffee doesn't really work for me teehee.'

Fuck setting up printers on networks with <4 hours sleeeeeep!

It's not as bad as what I imagine other addictions would be like, but it can be annoying. I get free coffee at work, and the cafeteria sells Monster, so I've developed a wonderful caffeine addiction. It's not terrible, I love coffee, but it can get annoying on weekends.
I usually have 3 cups of coffee a day on weekdays, and often a Monster joins them (the white Monster are freeeeeaking delicious, but the cafeteria also has Monster Rehab - also amazing).
If I don't have any caffeine, I start to get a tension headache, but just one coffee in the morning prevents me from needing any more. Weekends I'll usually only run out for one coffee in the morning and then I'm set.

The same song for that long? Damn, when I used to play music I had to switch it up or I'd go crazy.

Damn, can't say I've ever drank coffee before. Had a sip once and never had it again. (I'm not much of a warm drink person). But energy drinks....... Man oh man do I drink a shit ton of those sometimes. I've went weeks at a time with only having 1, maybe two in that span of time. Then there are the weeks I have two almost everyday. I never get the headaches though from not having them.
Funny story though from reading ketara's post... Back when I was really focused on the gym I bought concentrated creatine "one more rep", it just came out and the guy at the store was telling me how he swears by it. The box said take a half scoop to test tolerance ( a full scoop was a tea spoon... Maybe slightly a bit more). It was 5pm figured fuck it yolo, took a whole scoop. Proceeded to work out for two hours non-stop and when I got home I couldn't sleep so I played video games for the next 10ish hours till work the next day....
Needless to say that product got pulled from the shelves after a few weeks in canada but I think it's back now in a slightly less potent form

Caffeine addiction is real. Apparently headaches are a withdrawal symptom.

I stayed up till like 3 and then just layed in bed because I had nothing else to do and maybe fell asleep at like 4. I NEEDED SCIP.
I will only drink Vietnamese coffee because it's super tasty, and is sort of a treat for me because I had it when it was in Vietnam and fond memories etc, but unless I have some paper to write on a deadline or something fuck being unable to sleep that long.
I STILL feel jittery as fuck and it's been what like 17 hours.
