Did you read the comic? I'm not here to gush about how it's much better (though a bit dated), but rather that the movie is actually surprisingly close to the source with only one really big deviation, the rest fairly well stylized and shot for shot good. If you haven't (put it on your to-do list anyway), the movie is pretty good on it's own merits. I'd highly recommend watching it even if you generally dislike superhero movies, since it isn't particularly one in the first place.
